Chavski match thread.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Who on here in their right mind expected anything but a defeat. I expected 3-0 but with goals either side of half time but we set up suicidally, what did we think would happen

We have gotten better against average and sh*te but clueless against everybody else.

Every bad result leads closer to his exiting the club.

If he wins the cup it'll mean not a great deal as whoever we face in the community shield will eviscerate us as per usual. :(

I am not advocating it and not wanting it to happen because I want us to win every match but, longer term a humiliating loss to Wigan might make his position even more untenable. :rubchin:

Well done to the away support that stuck around and outsang the plastics but you were let down big time ONCE AGAIN
We must have the best away support in the prem :barscarf:

Dont think its actually possible to over-react to that shit we've just seen.
I actually didnt expect that. I expected better. A whole lot better, and we were entitled to a whole lot better.

Wenger said it was his "biggest game of the season"..........

Wenger has apparently snubbed the post match press conference in typical unashamed arrogance. Some guardian reporter saying 'he has never known that before.'

Wasnt expecting this massive loss. We have no ambition but 4th place under Wenger.
How can we enter such a massive game on his 1000th match with us and not even try? A loss by 1 goal would be acceptable. 6 unanswered goals?

WENGER OUT!

A real man would have shame and humility and walk away saying he'd done what he could, time to move on.

Wonga has neither and will gladly carry on picking up £140,000 a week + for being a truly negligent, ignorant and arrogant duffer.

There's a post match interview on BBC, so not sure where you get your information from.

From what I understand, he stayed with his players in the dressing room for a long time after the game... so if putting the team ahead of not delaying media duties is "unashamed arrogance" then fuck it, I'm all for it.

Weird criticism from you mate.

We keep hearing about how 'honourable' Wenger is.......?
Wtf.
Any decent, honourable, genuine person with the best interests of Arsenal at heart would have left with a degree of dignaty long, long ago.

Weird how? According to the chief football correspondent of the Guardian, Daniel Taylor, an Arsenal spokesman came in and said he will not be attending the press conference. He did talk to some radio reporters but clearly can't face the media after another shocking diabolical record defeat.

Putting the team ahead of media duties? Really? That's the best you can do? If he really was putting the team first he would resign tonight and let Bould take over for the rest of the season. But of course, as we all know, the graceless arrogant buffoon wouldn't have a shred of decency to do that.

he didn't fuck off home though... where did that nugget of bollocks come from?

He apparently stayed for a long talk with his players in the dressing room (fair enough) and then spoke to the media (despite Mr T saying he didn't).

The result was shocking and there's plenty to criticise the players and manager for, but you and Mr T are going off on a rather odd route

Turned over to the cricket at HT but I assume Wenger laid into them during the interval and we at least showed a bit of character and mental strength in the second half, thus justifying a new bumper contract

Could dissect every mistake and past parallels and probably write 10,000 words on it but I can't be bothered. Don't even feel angry, just empty.

What is there to be said that hasn't been posted on here a hundred thousands times before?
