Beat Ukraine and it’ll be Denmark or Czech Rep in the semi final at Wembley  can’t ask for better than that!

Let them at it mate. Rob and g88ner are singlehandedly (doublehandedly? ) slaying SteveO and his "we Ingurlish never get arrogantly stupidly cocky" pontifications!

Don't want to put pressure on here, lads, but if Ingurland don't reach the final now it will be the biggest most cringey embarrassing failure since.... well, since Oireland's defeat at the hands of Mace-fucking-donia in 1997....

>cough< ....or Cyprus in 2006.... :D

Thought they would get at least to semis....not mad abut the team....although back in 80s and 90s used to go all round europe following them...

Sterling stood out with workrate and skill....
Pickford is so vulnerable from crosses...but Germany had no one up front to capitalise ...Muller looks like hes well past it

But fair play to England they are doing the job...be a great lift for the country if we win it...with all the shit we have been through

I think Pickford is your weaklink tbh. He has a clanger in him and, as you say, is poor on crosses. A good target man could well punish him. But I also think you have as much chance of winning it now as anyone else.

I've had a Belgium v England final from the start. Got to say England played the Germans well. Apart from the first 10 mins, they controlled the match. It was a good game of football.
It just seems that this England team aren't living under the shadow of '66 or the failure of the "golden generation". They're very much in the present, and they're not even thinking about this team building towards the World cup, which makes a huge change in mentality. Gary Neville got this one right when he said the players should be thinking this will be their only major finals tournament.
Pressure is on Belgian's "golden generation" to deliver.

This x 1 million

I said it to rodders last week, this is the worst german team that I can remember - I have seen average german teams be successful in the past, but they had a mindset and a belief that this german side do not. In years to come german fans will look back and wonder how the fcuk werner got as many caps for german as he has cos he is absolute dogshite  For some reason I thought that the game was at 8pm last night and only found out otherwise when I switched on the tv near half time to see who was winning the sweden game and discovered my mistake

England dont have the best squad at the euro's, and I have seen more talented england squads come nowhere near winning tournaments, but this is about the here and now and right now they have a great chance. You would think that england will reach the final now in cruise mode, but whoever comes through the far side will have a real dogfight with spain, italy and belgium all still involved. Will a less fatigued england side have the upper hand in a final being played in wembley ? Gotta fancy their chances now

Btw, I loved the 3 lions song when it was out many years ago, but surely it should have been binned by now ? It is no longer 40 years of hurt, so unless they changed the words, it is outdated and seems silly

That shitty song was outdated once England got knocked out of Euro 96.

As long as it's still around we can't escape that obnoxious twat David Baddiel. (Skinner not so bad as he's fond of self deprecating humour)

Should be banned from being played anywhere. I fùcking hate it. :banghead:

55 years of hurt doesn’t scan as well! Although that never stopped anyone on here before

Ukraine are poor and England should have no problems but people are underestimating the Danes just like they did Croatia in the W/C..They look a good side.
I still think it will be Italy that will win it.

Xhaka’s actually been superb tonight
I'm just gonna copy and paste what I put on the Clive thread:

He managed to actually land a few passes where they were intended for a change. Thats all. He still managed to piss it away the other half the time and go flying in like a fucking idiot whilst on a yellow. To cap it all, as a captain wearing a number 10, he fucking ducked taking a penno. Utter cowardly cùnt. :censored:
Get on board with the Marketing DB :D .Clive was brilliant, could be the player of the tournament and he is yours for 20mil. A bargain and we will throw in a set of sanitary towels.

Look I know Clive is a Cunnt but that's a tad strong mate!

:D
:D 2nd hand ones
