Coupled with Trossard silently but publicly (& Rightly) saying that he should be playing (ahead of Martinelli)...But Trossard came from Brighton and scored against them last season....If he does play he will score again!

It won't be 'weak' to pick Trossard though, he played really well coming on and deserves game time in place of Martinelli who has been so poor so far.

Agreed. As much as I rated Martinelli he has been quite poor for a long time now and Trossard deserves the start. Only slight concern is that I think Trossard has maybe been better coming on as a sub rather than as a starter. But he has certainly earned the right to start and hopefully he continues to deliver.

I know he prefers to play on the left but still think Gabi could be a central striker as he is a decent finisher IMO , composed one on one usually (ManUtd away for example disgracefully disallowed) and said for a few years he's our best finisher, clearly Trossard has taken that mantle now and deserves to start next week.
Great win though and a few of my mates coming round to Raya as an upgrade to Rambo. He looked nervous when he joined but looks more self assured this season so far probably because he knows he's number one and settled, hope it continues.
Saliba has to be one of the top centre backs in Europe now if not the world and we'll do well to hang on to him but that means trophies otherwise he will go.

Great start but a lot to do in the market this week , Partey, Eddie, Nelson to be flushed , winger and striker to be signed.

His goal against Chelsea too.

Remember all the talk about arteta converting him to a striker but it must have been just gossip.

When he first arrived he was scoring with every part of his body. His confidence is fucked. He's trying too hard now.

In the first game people gave him a hard time for not setting Rice up but I think he had every right to go for goal himself.

I agree TeeCee, Trossard needs to play and it would be the right decision to pick him. Maybe I didn’t make myself particularly clear….it’s not that I think it would be weak to pick him, but it’s the optic given how Trossard made a very public display. It can easily be spun into caving in to a player’s protest. It wasn’t a good move by Leo and he should be talking to the manager about his grievances, not airing them publicly…although he may have tried that of course.

I’ll guarantee you that Clough, Ferguson, or Mourinho would not put Trossard in the starting eleven next week. I’m a fan of Trossard and made that point as soon as we signed him and he should start against Brighton, but my point is simply that it’s put Arteta in a difficult position. Whatever he does, the media will make a negative of it.
