Didn't Sanogo look fantastic today?
More "super quality" from our wonderful scouting network that continues to pick up these fearsome French strikers

LMAO that's hilarious.
Seriously though, Wenger's transfer policy is simply this in a nutshell: "What do I need to buy to get fourth spot?" Plain and simple. It's not "What do I need to buy to win the title or make the UCL final."
His whole mentality with transfers is doing the minimum to beat Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton for 4th spot, nothing more nothing less.

I can't quite grasp your opinion on this one, don't hold back, what do you really feel about Gervinho?

The onlt bloke who can trap a ball further than he can pass it, £11 million quid well spent Mons. Wenker, cheers.

Can't be arsed searching on t'internet but at a press conference this season Wenger's transfer record was being criticised. He asked who these poor players were, somebody said Gervinho and he defended the signing by telling the reporter that he only cost £8m and he knew nothing. As if that made it okayofficepest wrote:123,northbank123 wrote:Was trying to formulate some sort of joke about Roma's kit colours and his absolutely woeful performance against Bradford but instead I'm just going to settle for:

"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened"
Oh wait... Gervinho is gone, this is a happy occasion! That disturbance must have been the overwhelming despair of all the Roma fans upon hearing this news. My condolences to them!
How many one hit wonders from the French league is it that have failed Wenger now? Next up Giroud?

After watching the Emirates cup games I thought a re-post was warranted. If only i could find the post where i said we should get Drogba....Swifty wrote:I don't think Jenkinson is very good at all. Nothing personal mind you - probably a lovely fellow. I also think Mertesacker lacks aggression which is strongly evidenced by his inability to get onto attacking corners depsite being 14foot20.
I think we do not have a DM worth his salt and I think if Gibbs and Sagna are not available then we have no adequate back up. I think Oxe is too flighty, Podolski goes missing out wide, Theo is one dimensional and Wilshere takes on too many players one on one. I think Carzola is excellent, I think Ramsey is Championship level, i think our keepers are average. We really are a basic team with little depth and also - on appearances - lacking in passion. How we have finished fourth is beyond me. If you put together two squads from the top four i wonder how many we would have in it.
Summary - time for change.

That... Is highly depressing, and mostly accurate!Swifty wrote:After watching the Emirates cup games I thought a re-post was warranted. He played like he was still that kid in the Under 12s that could take on players himself because no one knew how to defend properly yet and then never grew out of it.1989 wrote:He was utter shit, but Wenger is the one who brought him here.
Wenger's ability to spot a diamond in the rough as well as a quality player has tailed off substantially. I think he's probably a competent coach but his talent selection and ability to bond a team seem lacking. The fact that he always does his business - if at all - late says to me he doesnt understand how to galvanise a team.
Having said that, the fact that his best players inevitably wan to leave also says he doesnt teach tme much.

What I want to know is whether his hairline naturally started at the apex of his cranium or if he manipulated it to look this way. And why the feck would he have that huge middle parting right up to the apex to accentuate the horribleness of his apparent deformity???? Is it a medical condition or something?

I'd happily take Jackson Martinez, Drogba, Hamsik, Cannavaro or Altintop

Obviously a hypothetical: is Alexis Sanchez surplus to requirements at Barcelona now?
