THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I genuinely fear for my own sanity if he signs an extension. I can't take this any more.

I think you better fear more for your cholesterol levels mate as I've got more hot dogs and burgers than you can shake an "I luv AW" T-shirt at

i saw the quotes yesterday and my heart sank. it really fucking did.

well, this saves me writing a letter this summer...

after 35 seasons of going home and away - 19 as an ST holder, in the rain, in the snow, dealing with narky coppers, spiteful little chavs from shitholes up and down the country, train delays, traffic jams, tube strikes, pissing on the side of motorways, losing our home, massive ticket prices, losing our crest etc etc

you know what ?

fuck it. and fuck them. MY club is dead.

If anyone needs me i'll be down Brentford. i will be.

Honestly mate, I called this fucking ages ago......i.e. if we are still in the running for the virtual trophy Stan and Ivan will be running towards Lord Wankpot with their tongues hanging out waiting for him to sell our best players for the next four years and make them both tens of millions in the process.

Can everyone now stop hoping that he'll be gone in 2014......you're in denial......he's earning 7m+ a year, has no pressure to win trophies, gets to decide who his boss will be, and is definitely on the take in terms of bonuses related to net transfer proceeds

Although we believe the club keeping Wenger on is as good as a done deal, will the BBQ go ahead even if Wenger doesn't actually sign the extension this summer? :rubchin: :rubchin:

I'm afraid its wholly contingent upon that glorious day when ink is put to paper. The Away Boyz have refused to play until that point and the supplier of the "I luv AW" T-shirts has been in touch to say that there is going to be a special 'contract extension - we're all saved' version coming out which I think we should all wait for.

I know Rodders, Augie, Donaldo, Falkirk Goon and Franksav have already refused to attend until the moment its absolutely 100% confirmed that their hero is staying on for a few more years

Is it wierd as a Gooner to be thinking (albeit a v v slight thought in the vey very back of my mind) that dare i say .... don't want us to scrape 4th .... ie so that he (AW) arse wipe, then wouldn't re sign! ie as then surely he would class himself a failure and we could get a new leader/massiah! or would he still sign and extension.

if both those happened, us 5th, wenger signing an extension this summer.

what i'd want to do is barrack him vocally ev single game 2013/14 - but how many would stand with me on this?
