cazorla comes for fabregas (yeah i know, a year late) and because of jack's injury, giroud comes in for RVP and podolski comes for arshavin's old place (a bit too late as well).

Football Agent 007 @EPLAgent007
Robin Van Persie has decided not to move to Manchester United. Arsenal still hopeful he'll stay. #MUFC

Barcelona are considering a bid for Van Persie, but will only pay as high as £15 million. RVP would have to force the move. #AFC #FCB

Just want this saga to end.

what did you hear about Sahin and Niang?
why would you care about us losing out on Niang, have you seen him play?
I havent but his stats dont exactly make you sit up and take notice...

No he never, he said they have done all they can to convince him, not the same at all.
Re: McDowell's soon to be locked Rumours Thread
If we end up signing this Belgian guy from Olympiakos it will undo all the work done so far. Football players go to Greece and Turkey to die/retire so why the hell would we go back there to sign someone?
Same old thing is going to happen, we'll hold out for an extra 50p from United for RVP then panic with an hour to go on the last day of the transfer window and accept an 18m offer for him. Too late to sign any fecker then.
This is Arsenal.

a ludicrous claim, we could sign you for £8M and it wouldn't impact on whether the other signings are successful or not. Did signing Jeffers for £8M "undo the work" of Sol on a free?TeeCee wrote:If we end up signing this Belgian guy from Olympiakos it will undo all the work done so far.
he failed at St Etienne then did well at Olympiakos - maybe just a late developer. Drogs and Wrighty were even older before they started to show their true potential. Silly to write off all players from any league. I think sometimes failing to make it at the top level refocusing and coming back shows strength of character (David Platt for example)TeeCee wrote:Football players go to Greece and Turkey to die/retire so why the hell would we go back there to sign someone?![]()
we've already brought in 2 strikers, you seem dead set against us signing a (relatively) young forward as our 3rd signing in that position...TeeCee wrote:Same old thing is going to happen, we'll hold out for an extra 50p from United for RVP then panic with an hour to go on the last day of the transfer window and accept an 18m offer for him. To me its exactly the opposite of the 'same old thing' - up front we've done our business early.
If we sold Song and failed to get M'Vila and/or Sahin then you could complain.
Anyway Mirallas - only seen him play a couple of times (v us and England I think)
He's a poor mans Cristiano Ronaldo - fast, direct, loves a flick and a trick, dives, good in the air, deceptively strong, greedy. What he seems to lack is Ronaldo's extraordinary shooting power. On an upward goalscoring curve 14 then 18 in the league for Olympiakos. £8M seems a relatively good price.

Sahin nicks the ball a lot but I see his main strength as creativity rather than destruction
not sure he's a 'proper DM'... more Pirlo than Makalele
