I am not one of those slating rvp but lets be honest here, the guy has to be moved on pure and simple. "Losing" feo and song really does not equate to much of a loss imo and as far as I am concerned we dont even need to buy another winger to replace walnut as we have enough wingers (although since ryo has gone that might need a change of opinion and affeley from barca is available at reasonable price) so that money should be used to strengthen left back and back up keeper. It goes without saying though that buying a quality DM should be number 1 priority

One things for sure, we'll have the best midfield in the league if we get Sahin as well.

For anything over 20 million manure can have him provided that the money is re-invested in the squad and not just used to balance the books.

Song has 3 years left in the contract, I can't imagine Arsene selling him unless he has a replacement in mind and not internally. We have signed 3 attacking players, so we don't have to be reliant on Song's assists anymore like we were last season. Instead we need a more defensive minded midfielder and there are far better players of that sort out there than Song.

Am i convinced we will win something this year? No. But I'm more optimistic this time and the optimism will not be dampened by the departure of RVP and Song, again provided we invest the money in getting decent if not world class replacements.
1. Any money from the sale of rvp will NOT be re-invested - I wish it were different but "Profit" is the new mantra at Arsenal (whatever happened to "'Victoria Concordia Crescit'" (Victory Through Harmony) - What!? Do they now have shares in feckin Harmony Hair Spray!? :banghead:

2. Apparently Song has 2 years left on his contract so £15m is not a bad deal...- But we should hold out for more - especially to Barcawhores. There will be some on here dancing with joy if he goes, others think differently, again we do need a DM more than anything else.

3. Me too, but would have been greatly lifted had rvp decided to stay of his own volition and extend his contract...silly me   :banghead:

If he sells Song he'll sign someone else. There's no way he would let him go without someone coming in.

yes, but who??...Wouldn't it be a Wonderful Opportunity to Actually Buy a Defensive/Holding MId-fielder - who doesn't wander off into La La Land every time someone gives him the ball....

There is no way we should risk being stuck with the cameroon c**t by rejecting a 15m bid if such a bid came from barca - in fact I would sell him for a bag of toffee's and a pack of out of date walkers salt and vinegar

If Song goes then I would expect Sahin to come in on loan with a view to buying him permanently at the end of the season.
of course we'll also have Denilson to come back next season and that will be like signing a new player.......no, I'm not kidding, be prepared for Wenger to welcome him back as he costs nothing!!

I see Everton are about to sign Mirallas, good, Arsenal do not need to sign any more mickey mouse players from the Greek/Turkish leagues, we have one already!

I see Niang has now arrived on Merseyside for another trial, this time with Everton......considering Milan were supposed to have 'agreed a deal' and Arsenal and other English clubs were gutted to lose out on him, the guy is hawking himself about still, to mid-table English clubs! Truth would appear to be that no-one is overly bothered about signing him!!

I agree. Indeed, I'd go further.... any bid above 15 pence for this limited, slow of both mind and movement, ill-disciplined and extremely over-rated player should be gratefully accepted. 8)

Boys and girls I disagree with you all about Song ok he lacks discipline in that role but many times last season he had a cracking match think we need to get out the likes of Ramsey and Rosisky before we out the likes of Song .

TC, I'm not entirely sure but isn't denilson out of contract at the end of this season :?:

Augie, I have read a statement from Arsene that stated Songs' contract ends in 2015 but have read other snippets where it states 2014, so I will go with Arsene (although if HE is wrong then that would explain the alarming amount of players who run down their contracts to the final year  ).

I would go for de jong, he is available on the cheap, his wages would be a sticking point but signing on fees etc can circumnavigate these issues.

Don't know a lot about sahin so can't comment on him, fellani (sp?) at everton could be a good DM imo, though they might want 20mil plus for him.

Link. Levy doesn't care anything other than getting his transfer money.
Just checked out skysports link. That is a good deal for RM considering money they throw around for transfers.
