Bendtner; The Leg-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just seen that someone is trying to do a website which is effectively a shit version of this thread

http://nicklasbendtnernews.wordpress.com/

There is a tab called "facts" and the actual weblink included "interesting facts" in its address. Sorry like, but their facts are nowt like as good as the facts you get on here. There is also a "question area" but all the questions are shite and the answers are even worse. Hmm, I reckon a much better Bendy website could be set up like

Obviously we all hope he can come back and really provide the presence up front that we've been lacking so it'd be great to hear an in depth report from someone like yourself who has seen a fair bit of him this season. Oh and by the way, thanks for the thread mate, it really is class- informative and humourous in equal measure, I've been following it eagerly and will continue to do so all season, thanks a lot mate :barscarf:
No probs mate, always good to speak to a fan! To be honest marra I think he is benefitting quite a lot. He looks more confident, his touch is more assured and I definitely get the impression that he's getting used to the lads etc. His last couple of performances havent been quite the standard of his early games but I think thats really down to our overreliance on him and the fact that our midfield has been lacking a lot of spark recently.

In terms of his Arsenal future, which I see you mentioned, well, I doubt he'll stay but if he does he could be a useful option. I think you'd need to play him up top with RVP in behind but, if you were prepared to persist with him, I think he would give you a lot of assists as well as chipping in with a few goals. Its certainly better than having to play Chamakh I'd say, and it could save you spending 20-30m on someone else.

Glad you're enjoying the thread though mate, thats what its here for, the keep you informed :barscarf:

PS I have far too much time on me hands, and am mental

Just prior to destroying Wigan and leaving their carcasses discarded in the Stadium of Light like a cum filled whore, Nicklas has come out and said that he is enjoying himself and that he might even consider staying. No chance we'd get him for the £10m thats quoted in the article though, be nearer double that I'd imagine

Nicklas Bendtner is loving the limelight again after being frozen out at Arsenal.

The striker is now a crucial figure in the Sunderland team after moving north on a season-long loan.

Bendtner has scored only twice for Sunderland so far, but wants the fans to judge him on more than his goals record.

“I have sort of realised that all people are concerned about is goals, goals, goals - you can play horrific but if you score goals, it doesn’t matter," he said.

“That’s very new to me. I tend to look at my overall play, so it’s a new mentality.â€

"we've got nick, he's got loads of pace" to the tune of "we found love in a hopeless place" was sang on the train. Mentioned it already but it was fucking immense, feel free to steal it next season when he's banging them in for ya!

 right, yes, 3rd game in a row he's been quite ineffective. Happy now?

He's struggling for us at the minute, despite his good form for Denmark, although tbh we've got no confidence as a side at the minute and the "support" he's getting from midfield is non existant. He had a hand in the goal though so at least he contributed something positive. But aye, 3 games without being impressive in any, not a good sign. Oh well, hopefully Bruce is about to be sacked (there isnt a praying emoticon on here but just imagine about 100 of the fuckers here) and with a new manager who has a clue, we might just see him get back to the performances that he was putting in earlier in the season. Still a quality player, but aye, tbh if he thinks he's so good he's got to be the one to grab the game by the balls and drag the lads to a few wins and he isnt doing it. There, I've criticised Bendtner a bit, just to show I can do it when warranted!
