And he and the rest of our intensely dedicated squad are?

Henry showed more dedication in 15 minutes than 95% of our current squad has for years.

Albert Einstein.
Here's a thought: how does that famous and often-repeated axiom tally with the constantly given and just as logical advice that 'Practise makes perfect'? :? :?

LOCK THE THREAD - NOTHINGS EVER GOING TO HAPPEN EVER AGAIN :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Arsene Wenger is refusing to step into the mid-season transfer market to solve Arsenal's injury crisis because, he says, players signed in January are self-serving and not committed to the cause.
On the eve of his injuryhit side's trip to Swansea, the Arsenal manager said he prefers to wait for his trusted individuals to return rather than take a financial hit on any number of wantaways, many of whom, he says, are simply frustrated rather than having a genuine desire for a new challenge elsewhere.
Bargain bye: Wenger won't be tempted by the January sales
'You find players who have not been playing at their clubs, so decide they will leave in January,' he said. 'They are already less committed to the cause. We have gone from a period when even if you didn't play, you had to be committed to your club and had no other option than to fight. Now you have a quick and easy way out. I would either leave the window open, or close it completely. This is just in between when everyone gets nervous around November.
'Sometimes, if a player hasn't played, by the time they are fit, you have your own injured players back. Or you find a young player somewhere who can take three or four months to adjust to the Premier League. If we can get Thomas Vermaelen back next week, we have enough players available.'
As for today's opponents, Wenger has nothing but praise for the job Brendan Rodgers is doing. 'They pass the ball well. They remind me a bit of Blackpool last season, brave but perhaps not quite so adventurous. It's a kind of creative possession and all credit to the manager.'

Wenger is always making excuses these days. Just wait for the excuses when we finish 5th. Tbh, I don't read anything he has to say anymore because it just winds me up. Busted flush.

Seeing as the last major signing he made in January was Arshavin....he may have a fucking point

The good news is that our weak defence will soon be strengthened by the international powerhouse from Oman so don't panic boys! Arsene knows!

For the first time ever I actually hope that we sign nobody. For the first time I can sense there is a stronger anti-Wenger sentiment building. Even AKBs I know are pulling their hair out at why we aren't moving for players in this window

Go on Arsene make my day. Sign nobody and put us all out of our fucking misery. Fourth place went when we lost to Fulham, I accepted that but many didn't. So lets sit back and watch the Self Harmer give us some "economic theory" and then watch RvP get injured on the 1st Feb for three months. If that happens, we'll be lucky to finish 10th and then more people than ever will see what's been before their very eyes since 2006 i.e. this manager is a loser

Thing is though, regardless of where we finish, I can't see him walking away or being pushed.

He's here for the rest of his contract, I'm almost sure of it.

And that's the most galling thing... this period of failure under Wenger has been as good as endorsed by the board. Hell, in the last 12 months, we've had Gazidis and, perhaps more worryingly, Kroenke practically suck Wenger's impotent cock with praise to the extent that "job for life" was all but said by both of them

I just can't see an end to this mess. I really can't.

I don't disagree mate. I've said times many that he's here till 2014 minimum. I'd just like to see his life being made as much of a misery as he has made ours for the past few years, when he realises that the last of his supporters left when we failed to even make the Europa League spots

blimey, that's depressing! :(

Although, I can't agree with that view, I can certainly understand it mate.
