Now we cant even keep the fucking ball let alone learn how to defend.

I could post all the names that Wenger has bought in the past 5 years that would make Martin Oneil look like a shroud spender but I just cant give a shit. I dont enjoy the way we play. Nowadays I don't bother commenting on the team on here. Quite frankly we ALL sound like a broken record. same comments, same anger etc Your first paragraph really couldn't sum things up any better from my point of view. You're spot on with the description of how the feelings have changed over the last 6 years and to make matters worse, the manager has the nerve to stand up post match and say that Diaby getting through 60 minutes without getting injured is a POSITIVE :banghead:

When is he gonna realise that he is pulling the wool over fewer pairs of eyes every week. Fiddling while Rome burns? Nah, just being stupidly fucking stubborn and refusing to act while my club seems to be slowly but surely dying a painful death while the wrong people are in charge.

Arsene, I never have and never will describe you as some do on here. I have too much respect for what you achieved 96-06 but please just accept that it's not working and either change your approach or look at yourself in the mirror tomorrow and ask yourself can you still do it anymore?

I would take Viera,Adams,Campbell,Lauren,Keown,DB10 and TH14 over anything those c**ts have to offer.

I forgot Lehmann. Chesney is a decent goalie but he gets let down by the team in front and lets them off the hook. He needs to shout at them, call them uselessc**ts, have a go at them because I can't see Lehmann letting his back 4 get away with the sh*t that lot get away with every week.
Lehmann would literally have gone insane and killed defenders had he been behind such an incompetent outfit every week.

"on Koscielny's red card

What I make of the decision is not really important. We have to live with the decision. I was surprised. Honestly. I refuse to watch it again because what does it help now? We have to live with the decision and make the maximum of it. I will watch it again. I've heard it was a penalty. Was it a red card? I don't know."

I'm fine mate, honest :D

What pissed me off today was the lack of character. The way our little lost sheep wandered around for 30 mins after the sending off was unforgiveable for me. As I said, playing with 10 is tough....but it happens to lots of team and we should have had a nice boost by the missed penalty. But no, it was all sloping shoulders and 'woe is me' as watched a battering unfold. Can you imagine United at OT reacting like that to going down to 10 men. FFS - Chelsea were losing and down to 10 men in the Nou Camp, but they had a team full of leaders and experience and reacted with a 'thou shall not pass' attitude that use to be the hallmarks of Arsenal teams of the past. Seeing a team bereft of leadership and organisation when our Dear Leader makes remarks about 'captaincy is overplayed' is just driving me to fucking despair....and there is no end to it. I still believe we'll be stuck with this useless twat in charge beyond 2014 and the American bleeding the supporters dry.
SkySports harped on about how it was a spirited display and we looked like getting something to justify their bumper SUPER SUNDAY hype.

Truth was had we played like that with 11 men we'd have got hammered. We didn't look like scoring until the 90th minute.
That's what fucked me off. When the game was already over Wenger's gutless buffoons turned up for 20 minutes to allow the opportunity for people to say they gave it a good go. The reality is that for 70 minutes it was awful, pathetic, spineless surrender where some of our supposed senior players e.g. Cazorla and Mertesacker, went into hiding and allowed us to get absolutely dicked

Cazorla is a lovely passer of the ball. Just the right weight and placement in front of a runner or to feet of someone holding. Unfortunately, it is starting to look a bit like that is all he has in his game. He is slow, does not tackle or win posession, doesn't score near enough (indeed doesn't even hit the target near enough when in good positions) and he is not a worker. He is a bit of a luxury player. No harm in that usually, such a player can add that vital bit of extra craft and guile that wins things, but we don't have the team to carry a luxury player atm.

Wenger basically has everything about as wrong as he can do with this team. Giroud's obvious strength is winning balls in the air 25 to 30 yards out. But Wenger often plays him up front on his own where his knock downs are wasted, rather than as part of a 2 in a 4-4-2 where his knock downs might supply a decent striker.

Wenger plays our most natural finisher (Podolski) as a wide player instead of centrally up front in a 4-4-2 which would suit his technical ability and his finishing ability in the box.

Wenger still utilises zonal chaos, giving oppo players a 5 to 8 yard run at our CH's who are already weak in the air and thus have no chance at all to attack the ball but rather just stand there and watch the oppo run at them. Anyone that thinks there is no difference between zonal and man marking is away with the fucking fairies. Given, neither are perfect, but zonal is far harder to utilise effectively with poor to average defenders. At least with man marking you have some chance to divert the oppo runner or to get up with him from your own run. Standing still and watching the oppo run at you is fucking ludicrous.

Wenger still - ah, do ya know what? I just can't be fucking bothered anymore. Same shit, another season. :suicide:

I totally agree with you. I was commenting a week ago on how bored I was getting and that has nothing to do with not winning trophies but alot to do with groundhog day or the last 4 seasons !

in 2007 we would go down to 10 men and still trump teams. even THAT team's quality is way, way, above where we are now

No fan of Dean, but he got the penalty and sending off spot on. I am staggered that anyone is seriously questioning it.
This is why refs cannot win, get it right and they still get hassle. What a thankless task they have.

Did it spoil game, of course it did, but I would suggest writing to FIFA and asking them to change the law if you are not happy with it.

No question about the penalty and red card, I missed it first time as a lot of people did and he waited to see if they would score anyway before giving it.

I don't understand the fuss about Kompany's red. I mean, I do because it's a chance to trot out the old line about how tackling is dead :blah: :blah: :blah:
But fact is if the ref is 5 yards away and you dive in with your studs showing and both feet off the ground you're going to get sent off. How can people be surprised that he was sent off? Given that he let City down last year by doing the same against United in the FA Cup, it's about time he stopped diving in two-footed and then acting bemused when he's sent off. For somebody who seems intelligent and responsible he really needs to have a think about his approach.

Unfortunately Dean was predictably poor with letting them kick Wilshere repeatedly and blatant offences like kicking the ball away went unpunished, which is fucking annoying. Kicking the ball to touch and then pressing up the pitch after play stopped with us in possession was pathetic and sums them up.

Does the fact that Dean waited to see if they scored (Tevez header) before giving the penalty mean that a goal scoring chance was not taken from City. If so penalty yes but red card doubtful...The red card isn't for the foul but for depriving the goal scoring chance. City's first goal came after Dean tried to play an advantage , but in fact he did play the advantage and the City player misplaced his pass before Dean called it back. I'm not making excuses for yesterday , in reality I'm gone beyond caring about it. I looked up the advantage law and am no wiser.
