Well at least we learnt one thing; the manager did change tactics to "deal" with Bale. We reverted to the defend the half way line approach that made us the defensive laughing stock of the last few years. He just did not trust our midfield to close the space and protect our back 4 so instead we were playing with two banks of midfied, fucking genius I dont know why nobody has thought of that before
Maybe he was right not to trust our midfield but that just brings it back to why he hasn't signed the disciplined, athletic defensive midfielder that we've crying been out for since 2008 for fuck sake. I like arteta and would keep him as a squad player for sure but he just can't cut it in that role if we want to achieve anything - not his fault of course, same for Ramsey who gives it his all when he wears the shirt so I for one wont be on his back.
Now, Walcott and Giroud. Leaving aside Giroud's general ineptness for one second, I found it incredibly frustrating to watch these two run into the same space time & time again. Have they been told where they're supposed to play in relation to each other or are they ignoring the management? Still, perhaps its a good thing that we're playing with two strikers because there is no way you could say Walcott was on the right.
I'm obviously disappointed and angry to lose to those cúnts but also quite relieved because to be frank that could and should have been a real pasting.

Indeed. Our defending has been poor all season-we must have given away more goals this season than anyone else. We don't even make teams work hard for a victory-really annoying!

Bossed it for all of 3mins and we conceded 2 due to shit defending
Despite having all of the ball how many shots did we have?
He subbed our right back (who was causing problems) and put Ramsey (who played well) at right back despite him having a yellow card
Giroud was dire and played the whole game, how?
Played against a team of players we should have (I refer to Parker, Bale, Vertonghen and Defoe) bought but instead we got Mertersacker, Gervinho, Diaby, Giroud and Santos
Biggest thing of all how can we continue to defend so badly and it never be addressed? Does not matter if it is from set pieces or open play we are a shambles.
I realise this is written very soon after the game but I have to let it out!!
but come o, n not one player today again, can hold there head up - Wilshire & co were all shit, we managed to get back to 2-1, but never looked like getting a 2nd
Tottenham are an average team at best, next season CL will show everyone that.

Would agree, can only assume they are both not fit???
I can't watch this crap much longer without either killing Wenger or Gazidis or walking away and watching Barnet expecting the worst each game knowing what is coming
I know this sounds like a standard bitter response but they really were pretty shit. Played fuck all football and their striker was nearly as bad as ours. Let us have loads of the ball and spent long periods chasing it round. But they knew that we would struggle to create and that we would gift them a few opportunities and sure enough...
The only blessing that comes out of this is the damage it does to Kroenke's investment and that can only be a good thing in the medium to long term. Finally we're going to miss out on that fucking horrible competition and the ground will be treated to Thursday night games against the also rans of Europe played out in front of a half empty stadium......and do you know what Stan......I hope it fucking cuts you like a knife. You've backed that disgusting, thieving CEO to the hilt, paying him a salary 4-5x the average for a company of Arsenal's size and also watched that sell-out of a manager con the supporters for years selling our best players and replacing them with 2nd tier dross from Ligue 1.
If there's one thing to celebrate it's that we won't be wasting our time between September and December next season with boring, boring group stage of the CL
