I think maybe in a couple of years it will take him only 6 touches to control a football, compared to now where it takes him about 74

Seemed to be denied a fair goal v Everton - is that correct, it was 11pm here and i had been on the beers for about 6 hours following the final whistle in our last pre-season game.

Another lovely composed left foot finish which threaten to daisy cut its way towards the corner flag

At least we get some pure comedy value when he comes on

I thought in my delirium he'd scored a goal that was unfairly ruled offside - did i just dream that?

Yep. Goal was deffo onside. But apart from that he looked like a newborn giraffe. A drunk one at that. All legs and stumbling around the gaff.

Somewhat ironic that his one piece of composure in the various games he's played went unrewarded owing to the linesman

I was referring before to the one before when he didn't know he was offside and snatched wildly at it with his left peg.....DB10's description of him just about summed it up

We are traditonally the biggest (by a mile) club in London yet our strikeforce is Le Chapman, Barry Bender and Yaya Sanogo.

What a piss-poor state of affairs we are in. Better hurry up and renew chaps because next year Wenger will put it right, he'll definitely spend big. Arsene knows and all that.

When RVP was banging in 30 goals I started a thread asking if any other team had worse back up striker options than us which at the time consisted of SQ Park and Maryanne the Camel, with Barry Bender farmed out on loan. Since then we've offloaded one of the world's finest strikers and replaced him with the one season wonder from Montpellier, replaced SQ Park with a player his equal in Sanogo, farmed off the Chamster and recalled Barry

Great progress from the king of self harm !

Mourinho is moaning about his lack of strikers - he has Etoo, Ba and Torres.
I would love Arsenal to be able to have those 3 strikers at our disposal right now.

we will probably be going into an FA Cup semi final with a lone striker (Sanogo) WHO HAS NOT SCORED FOR US YET!!!

In all honesty though SteveO, what has RVJC delivered? 2 great seasons, one for us, one for the cuntpigs from Old Shatford. That's all. That's 2 seasons out of 10. As for 30 PL goals? He did that once. Only managed more than 20 PL goals twice in those 10 seasons. Without doubt he is skilfull, with fantastic technique, but he has delivered fuck all for the majority of his career. Yeah, he's been injured for most of his career, but the hard facts are he does not deliver 20+ PL goals per season anywhere near often enough.

But I agree with your point about the other strikers. None of them are good enough to be first choice striker at The Arsenal. :(

Fair points.

The problem we have is that Robin leaves better strikers in a pile of Kleenex than we have on our roster. It is simply negligent mismanagement that we have the three aforementioned frauds as our options. The mind boggles.

They didn't show it on MOTD2 or on any of the highlights on sky.

That would be because it didn't fit in with their team that Everton are suddenly the greatest team on the planet. Jesus Christ the number of players who the commentators throughout the course of the game declared to have had a great season you'd think Everton must be at least 10 points clear at the top? All Ross Barkley had to do was pick one simple unchallenged pass and he should be the first name of Roy's teamsheet this summer, and when John Stones made a relatively straightforward block tackle by the corner flag you'd think Bobby Moore had risen from the ground and done it.

He isn't any worse than Giroud. Both not good enough though and only one man to blame for leaving us so short on quality up front.
