I see you're still unable to recognise the distinction between disliking aspects of his character and not rating him as a player.

Flamini has proved to be a shrewd capture, as far as I'm aware everybody has acknowledged that regardless of what they thought originally. But when there are sanctimonious posts on here every day about how wonderful he is and how much he changes us defensively is it really unreasonable to question where this stability was when we shipped in 6 yesterday?

I personally don't blame him for our performance - I have always said that in our dark years where we were defensively awful every week no one player could have made a huge difference to a team that doesn't defend properly and yesterday was a throwback to that time. But still, he was cack yesterday and it needs to be pointed out to those who think he walks on water every week.

I am able to distinguish liking him personally and rating him. Whered you come up with that one? Its those that dislike him personally and who didnt want him back at us who are tainted against him ffs,
Dont particularly like Ches personally but rate him. Fukin hate Suarez with a passion but hes a superb player and Id take him at Arsenal. Rooney too - cant fukin stand him but hed be totally fantastic for us.
So mate wrong again Im afraid.

And do stop exaggerating about sanctimonious posts. I havent seen that.
I see posts relieved that at long last weve signed a quality DM and praising Flamini for fulfilling that role. But it could have been any good DM. Fellaini even. The posts are more about the position at last being adressed than the name on the shirt,

Again weshipped 6 yesterday because of Ozil, Jack, Monreal, and to some extent Giroud more so than Flamini imo. And also for Wengers inability to do anything to change it.
Again were having a conversation about Flamini that isnt warranted. Really dont see how he is so divisive on this forum

Having looked back at the game again, it amazes me that Giroud could stay on the pitch, as long as he did, and it seems that Wenger doesn't rate Bendtner at all, if he is only given the last 15 minutes in a game where Giroud played shit. Yesterday we played a team who have Aguero, Negredo, and had Dzeko on the bench, and we have a shit French striker, and a replacement not trusted by the manager, if any of the sheep can defend Wanker on this issue, then d like to hear it.

Cockerill's chin wrote:Part of Jack's problem is he looks like a player who is impatiently trying to make up for the time he has lost. Also, it will be difficult for him to come to terms with the fact he is no longer England's and Arsenal's blue eyed boy. I agree with Quartz that it will take him time to discover the form and consistency we expect. His impatience may be compounded by this being a World Cup year but he needs to be patient.

I think Quartz's comparison to Ramsey highlights a difference between the two young men. Ramsey kept going through the flak and taunts. I don't know if Jack has the maturity to work through this period without the bad tempered petty gestures we saw yesterday.
City fans gave Jack real stick yesterday.
Best thing he did was turn around and give them the finger.

All it does is highlight your own prejudices against him and really does make what you say look bitter and just plain wrong. :?

I wanted Arteta and Flamini to start yesterday.
The fact that Ozil just did not turn up and that Jack looked like he was playing for City by the amount of times he gave the ball away was what fucked us up. That and that Monreal was awful too. That left Flamini in a hopeless position. We are supposed to defend as a team but if Jack keeps running up blind alleys and Ozil is invisible then this is what will happen.

Its disgusting that Flamini keeps getting shoehorned into posts every time to try to find some fault when IMO he didnt do very much wrong under very difficult circumstances.

Again Wenger has fucked us up. A striker who isnt quality enough for a prem winning team and an idiot for back-up. Thats not how you win anything.

As one of those that you are speaking about, can I suggest that you read back the comments I made during and after the game yesterday - I said frequently that imo ozil and wilshere were the worst players by a country mile and I expressed my opinion that monreal is not good enough. However what I also said, and this is the point that clearly irks you, is that flamoney was absolutely awol defensively yesterday and made a complete mockery of those that claim that he is the DM we badly need  As nb123 tried to point out to you, if you want to post on here about him in that manner (which you are 100% entitled to do) then you have to be willing to accept it when people point out about him not being that good. What you also haven't accepted is that some of those knocking him since his return, do accept that he is good enough but dislike him over the manner of his departure so that should not in my opinion be viewed as castigating him. Me, on the other hand, don't like his character but also do not believe that he was not or is not going to be good enough for any team challenging for league titles - yes he brings some much needed energy to the team but despite you feeling that he didn't do much wrong yesterday, the reality is that they went through like a hot knife through butter. Yes he wasn't helped by other players around him not playing well but that should not disguise the fact that he too was poor and was awol time and time again as citeeh attacked - as a DM his principle responsibility is to provide protection to the back 4 but look back at the game and you will see how many times he was caught ahead of the game as his lack of positional discipline was exposed by a very attack minded citeeh team

I think that it is safe to suggest that had arteta filled that position yesterday and played in the same manner as flamoney did, then the flamoney lovers would have been out in force claiming that arteta is not a proper DM like the mercenary French man

If Arteta had played as Flamini did yesterday the usual snipers would be on here saying he's past it

Wenger should have played them both. I still cant understand why he didn't.

The two have worked well together when played like that........Jack needs to be taken out of the side for a bit. I said that weeks ago and his form has got worse since then. He's scored the odd goal but in these important games he just isn't doing it. I'd also give Ozil a kick up the arse and play Ramsey, Cazorla and Rosicky ahead of Arteta and Flamini for Chavski

i think you chaps are being pretty harsh on flamini - he was up against the best box to box midfielder in the world in Yaya.

i don't think the flaw yesterday was the team selection (other than wilshere for Arts.) the flaw was not man marking toure and stopping him play.

Yaya has done that to every team this year - spuds and united all had heavy defeats up there run though him.

an astute manager (and George Graham :D ) would have put a man on him and told his DM's to kick his ankle in the first 10

Our astute manager on the other hand decided to add Yaya to the list of players we nearly signed after playing him against Barnet and deciding he wasn't good enough

Wenker's description of Yaya Toure after his trial with The Arsenal was 'Very ordinary'
