The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Always deluded......Off the glory-glory website regarding Timmy..............

http://www.glory-glory.co.uk/showthread ... -2/page175

See the RED bits

F*** that, Levy. Go get Benitez, please. Time after time we've tried playing aesthetically pleasing, open football and only gotten spankings and humiliations for our troubles. The likes of Wenger and Guardiola are impossibly rare to find: managers who play both good football and win consistently. We won't find one like that this summer. The managers who're succeeding across Europe (Simeone, Conte, Jorge Jesus, Rafa) are succeeding by creating sides that are both defensively excellent and lightening quick on the counter, that play direct, effective football.

We have the chance to appoint one this summer, if rumors are to be believed. We should. Mumorn's right, we need to start f*cking winning, pretty football be damned. We've had 20 years of trying to play pretty and failing, with two pathetic League Cups and one CL finish to show for it. We've under-achieved, again and again and again, until now even the title of London's most aesthetically pleasing side has been wrested away from us and given to Arsenal. <---funniest shyte

**** that ****. Time to start winning. By any means necessary. Once we have trophies under our belt, we can dictate to others what the perfect style of football should be. Until then, let's just focus on winning.

And I don't know about anyone else, but an FA Cup, or a EL trophy, or a PL title would utterly floor me with delight. Finishing 8th by conceding 100 goals and scoring 101, with no trophy to show for it? That f*cking wouldn't.

Not really bothered tbh - he was never gonna be good enough but now they are going to bring in a better and more experienced manager. The only thing I will say though, is that they are now trying to recruit a manager in what will probably be the busiest summer of managerial changes for a long long time

Like Agent Moyes, Agent Timmy made it a little bit too obvious that he was a Fifth Columnist. :(

Boooooooooooo. Let's just hope he is in full self-publicising mode (as usual) and takes large swipes at the club.

Despite all his bluster about not taking the job on an interim basis he took it on an 18-month deal with a 6-month break clause. Although he did about as well as could have been expected in terms of overall finish he just hasn't got the calibre or the nous to manage at this level. He's a junior coach with delusions of grandeur.

Maybe we should start a petition to demand they re-instate him... :rubchin:

No need, Levy has had a decade and he keeps screwing up, he's more of a double agent than Timmy was.

What about Christian Gross? Could we start a petition to re-instate him? I'd happily provide him with a tube ticket if need be. 8)

True, although to be fair to him he did have a go at starting on the very bottom rung of the ladder.
