Oh fuck. Does this mean another team will eventually overtake us, like Citeh?

If they get rid of that fraud Martinez (The poor man's TOF), I'd fancy their chances :banghead:

How are Stan's other franchises doing? Can't be arsed to look but I know they'll all be in the lower half of their groups / divisions.

Still he's a great owner and nothing to do with our lack of success, we know that. How lucky we are - such a man of the people too

Usmanov has bought out his partner in Red and White Holdings Farhad Moshiri. Moshiri has now bought 49.9% of Everton.

Interesting development. I've said for a long time that the emergence of another "tycoon club" that would force us out of the beloved Be All and End All might finally be enough for Kroenke to pack up his wig and sell out, and of course another obscene oil rich club would see our beloved, principled dear leader finally call it quits as his dream of Sanogo and Giroud firing us to glory slips further over the horizon. Still, perhaps dear old UEFA can open that rotten competition open to the top 6 and mean we sink further into mediocrity

Quite the opposite, actually. Italy are going to be taking our beloved fourth place trophy off us at this rate.

Now we can go for third :barscarf:

If they run their clubs like Stan, then owning teams can be very prosperous, but for many who see it as a play thing, they generally lose money in order to achieve success.

I for one would be delighted with another "tycoon club" entering the top tier of rich clubs - if we all believe that our owner and manager list top 4 as their main target, then the premier league losing a champs league spot or/and having another big club battling for the champs league spots, should only drive our club to raise their standards if they wish to remain in the money league

Also, and I know not many will agree, but I would be happy to see the toffee's becoming one of the top clubs in England again 8) I remember back 30-40 years ago they were classed as one of the "big 5" clubs in England, but since then they have seemed to be the club that time forgot :o

I'm still not convinced losing the CL money would force Wiggy out or force him to replace AW, maybe if it were over 3-4 seasons but not in any immediate instance. Even without the CL money it would take a few years for us to lose our overseas fans who bring in a hell of a lot of money through merchandising and tbh look at his US franchises they're profitable without being anywhere near the top.

That's where our team's heading if more sugar daddies come into the league, potential mid-table mediocrity unable to compete with the oil barons and before anyone pipes up that that will never happen, i remember people saying way back when that money for teams like Chavski or City wouldn't necessarily mean they become successful teams, look how that turned out :banghead:

Loss of CL football would mean a drop in revenue over time and a corresponding lowering of transfer funds, but seeing as it doesn't get spent would anyone notice the difference for a number of years :rubchin:
