You would think in 2016, that women shouldn't have to put up with this sort of shit. As usual though, football is light years behind the real world.
Maureen is due to appear in the tribunal at some stage, will be interested to see how he tries to squirm out of this one.
WTF I've been called worse but didn't get offered 1.2 million, as usual it's all about the money, she'd have to work years for that, oh well let's use the women angle
I got treated much worse by my ex boss. Union wouldn't support me going to tribunal but then again I'm a male single parent. I don't fit in with The Equality Act 2010 guidelines.

Exactly you way out of line mate.....so fucking what, £1.2 million thats a fucking joke, is she traumatised by this? is she now incapable of handling life???......when other noteworthy cases have finished with peanuts.....maybe Chelsea are right in there analysis....
As for Mourinho we all know what he is, and would love to see the money come out of his pocket, but it won't be......

yes would be interesting to see how that equates to salary lost?....probably will get her job back as well
Hold on have any of you guys actually read up on the tribunal? She is unlikely to get anywhere near £1.2m if the court finds in her favour. That suggests that she is doing this out of principal rather than trying to squeeze every last penny out of her former employer.
Why would you go through the humiliation of a tribunal, if all you was after was a decent payout?????
For me it's as much seeing how much Chelski and Maureen will squirm.

Ok then wait for her book to come out and multiple interviews bagging loads of dosh, I bet she already has an agent, it's all about money, I've seen ten times worse at workplaces, she was in a job where tensions run high ffs

Really? I work in Benefits/HR consultancy, any professional firm wouldn't even dream of treating their employees in this way, regardless of gender or race.
If people are going to work and being subjected to any sort of abuse and not doing anything about it, more fool them.

This first meeting was to lift the cap on a payout...she will not accept £1.2 million....but not about money....
i would do the same, fuck them take them for everything you can

NOT CORRECT most are in positions were they are unable or do not have such a high profile or team of high paid lawyers they can call on....or just do not have the expectation that they can do anything about it...that is about circumstance and environment
We can laugh at Chelsea and MUFC all you like but next season they will be back and stronger than this last campaign ,as will Shitty .
Then there is Liverpool who are rebuilding and the up and coming Hammers not to mention this Seasons Champions and some shit from Middelsex .
Again we are at a watershed ,again our transfer negotiators have seen a player slip through our grasp and again we face the prospect of bieng thin on the ground for players !
We should have a busy summer window but Im just not feeling it !

LOL, you can't just make up a figure there are guidelines that the courts go by. For example unfair dismissal is capped at 1 years salary up to around £78k. This is a constructive dismissal case granted, and a bit more complicated, but to say she can determine the amount she sues for is nonsense. This is determined by law.
Nobody has a clue how much she'll get at ET. If you were privy to her salary details an experienced practitioner could make a decent estimate of what she's likely to get for loss of earnings - although it seems as though she can't be arsed finding another job in football more than anything else.
The real unknown is the injury to feelings award which is entirely discretionary (bar some extremely vague guidelines). Who knows how an ET judge would view being humiliated in front of the whole country? That said - whilst an ET is not going to punish her for legitimately asserting her rights - her bringing this case to ET will have made any public humiliation far worse as the details haven't been report d as yet. The sort of stuff said in a dressing room by a bunch of jumped-up footballers is going to sound ten times worse in the cold light of a tribunal room.
One thing is for sure - she must be confident of a finding of discrimination / victimisation as otherwise any compensation would be capped at under 100k which wouldn't cover her legal fees (which won't be awarded to her unlike general civil cases). 1.2m (on an open basis no less) is a whacking great sum for a physio to turn down.
Haven't seen but I presume that a case of this length/complexity will have a split trial for liability and quantum. Don't be surprised if she wins on various aspects of liability having dragged the club and Mourinho through the mud and then they settle on confidential terms before the tribunal can assess compensation.

Yes agreed Court will decide final payout, but she refused a 1.2 million payout, as she insisted a 40% pay rise on her 285K salary as well....

You know under a basic house insurance policy, the legal expenses add on which costs a few quid extra a month covers you easily for up to £100k of legal expenses (including employment disputes). You don't have to be rich to sue an employer.
Dr Carneiro was "preoccupied with developing her profile" and associating herself with the first team in a way discouraged by the club for backroom employees, Chelsea's legal team added.
