Leicester at home 14th 1200

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wilson wrote:Ive been defending Ramsey, and am one of his biggest believers. But his passing was rubbish, and his efforts on goal were a calamity. Just the little things, such as playing a pass that found Monreal on the left touchline, rather than the ball finding Sanchez who was more inside and in a greater position.

Those overhit/underhit passes in the final third separate good teams from great teams, and sadly our passing can be incredibly sloppy for a team that likes to think of it as the Barcelona of England.

Cazorla return must come sooner than later. Cazorla is a genuine pass master.
Yeah we missed Santi in this game - as well as others - when we beat the *word censored* 5 - 2 at theirs Santi ran the show....

Still 2 -1 and let's enjoy it! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Still shaking here, game in keeping with the season was a bit mad. But delighted with the win and the possibilities it brings. Thought Ox improved alot on his performabnces this season but on the other hand Sanchez drove me mad with the amount of possession he lost. Ozil was hot and cold but his class stood out in the end. Who else would you have wanted to put that free in. ? Overall I think we deserved it, I cannot agree with the post that Leicester are not dirty. They are not Stoke or a Big Sam Bolton dirty but they can and will foul when they believe it necessary

Baba deletes a whole page of bile! Hahahah

It's not about Wenger , it's about supporting Arsenal and you can't tell me tHat didn't feel good..

We are a fragile team, that sort of win improves our chances more than a 6-0 would have.

Enjoy the moment, this is why we watch football. Best moment since the Ramsey cup final goal?

They didn't give up.

I agree. There was a spell when they were just fouling every time they we had the ball, culminating in the final foul from which we scored.

however, it has been AGES since we won a game like that, loved seeing the celebrations with the fans at the end, but overall that was piss poor today. the fans and team were stuck in second gear.

just hope city win later to kill the scum off.

NostraSteveO has seen this moment many moons ago....it came to me in a vision, a chariot in the Middlesex area with the wheels falling off in the cold month of February.

Sit back, relax and enjoy your day.

What a game, I'm exhausted! A few dodgy refereeing decisions, that changed the game and we did just enough in the end. Ozil was poor but got the assist, Sanchez lively but not quite on form and Giroud not quite on his game either, though set up goal with a nice header. We are a good side but just need slight improvement and tweaks in certain areas if we are to take this title. Moving forwards we have look at this performance and analyse our attacking play - the possession ratio to shots on target and goals is just not good enough at the moment. Ramsay has been poor for a while and I agree that the sooner Wilshere and Cazorla come back and potentially oust him, or put him under pressure the better. Ramsay slows things down, makes wrong passes, often shoots wide and tries to be Maradona in high risk areas. We should also look at the impact Theo had and even Welbeck - I think we need to mix up the striking options more. Hopefully this result will give us a massive lift, because we still need to improve and get back to the form we had easier in the season.

Baba where are you? You called me everything under the sun yesterday, I gave a reasoned response and you just ignored it.

Are you annoyed we won? All that writing in the second half (not watching the game) having to be deleted must have hurt.

SteveO 35 wrote:Both full backs were excellent again today - I'm not having that fucking penalty for Leicester at all. Monreal kept going for the entire 94 minutes and Hector was fantastic too.

It was actually our 'so called' senior players - Ozil, Alexis, Ramsey - who were utter shite today. Nice free kick at the end from Ozil but another big game where I was screaming at the TV. I only hope either JW10 or Santi come back fit and firing and hit form quickly to get Ballerina Aaron and his multiple twists and dragbacks out of the side - slows down every single attack and as for his finishing....pathetic !

Still.....its a day for big smiles and celebrations

Monreal was fantastic. Never gave up, put in some great crosses for Giroud to miss. Did better on the left attack-wise than Sanchez who never beat a man the entire game, continually cutting inside or giving it away

One time, Monreal did a great run down the left, got onto the by line and looked up, there was only one Arsenal man in the box!!!!
