Wenger Out protest thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not long now lads.

I would post a pic of my NO NEW CONTRACT banner but I.T. is beyond me, sad middle aged git that I am. Suffice to say it's 8feet by 5feet and says NO NEW CONTRACT in huge red letters on a white background.

If events go our way today (Big Protest / Bayern win / chants inside the ground) Wenger will be under more pressure to step down than ever before.

I'd rather not have to do this tonight but after 40 years supporting The Arsenal, I despair at Wenger's arrogance and what is happening to our Club.

Rocket open from 4pm - but if you feel strongly about what's going on at the club, head for the Marble Halls at 6. Talk online is cheap.

Almost certainly BS but rumours on Twitter (source seems to be via bet365) that Wenger has told the players he is going at the end of the season.

Just listened to that, very well spoken Mark, well done mate.

And I noticed that prick Cascsarino had to get his little dig in at the end though with his ''should there be protest against Mourinho because Man United are below Arsenal in the table''

The likes of Cascarino have slagged off Arsenal and criticised Wenger for years but as soon as fans do it they dont like it. It's as if we are not allowed to because thats their job. Sadly for them we do it better and are more informed than these thick fuckers.

A few verses of "Arsene Wenger, we want you to go..... followed by verses of "Alexis Sanchez, we want you to stay"

Songs about Rocky, TA6, Dennis, Henry, Vieira, Wrighty, Bobby, Charlie, proper players.

Arsene Wenger’s had it
His team’s a total bore
We used to fight for titles
But now it’s just Top 4
He’s shit at Champion’s League
And living off the past
So take your 2 year contract
And stick it up your Arse….

…..ne Wenger’s had it

Ivan, do your job, Ivan Ivan do your job

"He wears a wig, he wears a wig,
Stanley Kroenke, he wears a wig
Where's his hair gone, I don't know
Stashed away with all our dough
All I know is Kroenke wears a wig"

C'mon lads, thinking caps on

Deep Purples cracking song 'No no no' is a great song for changing the lyrics to the chorus. Change it to anything you like but for instance:

Must we let him fool us? NO NO NO
Has he won in Europe? NO NO NO
Is he getting better? NO NO NO
Should he get a contract? NO NO NO
Must he stay forever? NO NO NO NO NOOOOO

I was in contact with the commentators of the match here in Finland about the protest via Twitter. They were aware of that and probably it will have some coverage even here. Studio starts at 7pm, can't fucking wait!

Please share links, pictures, commentary etc. from UK during the evening about the event.

Guys, good luck to all of you who are going! :barscarf:

Au revoir, au revoir, Arsene Wenger
Au revoir, au revoir we say
Au revoir, au revoir, Arsene Wenger
Cause you know you've got to go in May

(Remember to wave as you sing!)

Can I just say that of them all the one I highlighted is my favourite BUT, does it not go against the plan to keep the protest respectful ? :? Don't get me wrong cos I would belt it out with gusto if I was there, but seeing I am militant, I'm probably not the best person to plan a peaceful protest

I will say that I am totally against the suggestion to sing songs about rocky, PV4 or any of our ex-players - this protest should be SOLELY focused on wenker and his new contract, and as such it should be about the future not the past. 3 of those players you listed are wenker signings anyway, so that would be more of a statement commending wenker for giving us those players. Would you not agree ?

Get what you're saying.

The contract song isn't really that disrespectful and we are football fans after all, so whilst we don't want to c.un.t him off or wish ill on him, it's not a tea party.

The players was just to break up the songs a bit. Th extra point about the Wenger player songs is actually to show that they were all from first 10 years and no-one from last 11 merits one, because he's lost his touch.
