That comment was designed to push those of us left over the edge...although the manager did admit to admiring him

Apparently - Wenger telephoned red nose this morning - in a direct appeal to see if he could spped up and persuade the wino *word censored* to agree to the sale and transfer of Hernadez from manure to Arsenal...and red nose laughed very loudly poppped another bottle open and put the phone down. ...before the line went dead he was heard to mutter to Gill ...it's our London bitch on the phone trying to beg a favour...

why are people so shcoked that the money is not going to be reinvested? around july time Grimandi had said that Giroud was a direct replacement for rvp.

so are we so shcoked because:
A. this has acutally happened or
B. Because he's gone to UTD

People have been belieiving Arsene knows for too long. He is complicit in all of this as he is paid £7m per year to oversee this annual brain drain. He lies to us repeatedly and that is unacceptable. His present actions far outweigh his achievements last millenia.

Sorry I beg to differ...yes WEnger is rightly ridiculed a lot of times but on this one i have to disagree.

Read this quote from RVP:
The bottom line is that I want to win trophies with Arsenal, not with anybody else. I know you can win trophies in many countries and in many ways, but I want to do that in our way and in an Arsenal shirt.
‘I’m sure I could win things at another team in another country, but would it feel like our trophy, my trophy? I’m not sure it would. Anything we win here will come from the heart and that’s what I want. It’s my dream and I see no point in speaking about other teams when I have these dreams. I think other people know that about me; I’m just hungry to win with Arsenal and that’s it – Robin van Persie, February 2011

If you are footballer and your salary is going to increase in it to what RVP will be getting at UTD then he will go there. He didn’t want to sign a contract extension. He is apparently on 220k a week which is way out of our reach and im sure way beyond what utd wanted to offer him…that’s 11.5m a year and over 4 years that is 45million…if you add the 24million then you are looking at 69million…so we have saved about 45m in wages and also obtained 24mill in transfer fees.

Say what you like but I think that’s a hell of a lot of money for a player who one good season out of 8.
Van Persie Snr said:

“It is impossible to go to another English team.”

But we know that’s all bullshit now. Money talks simple as that.
