Nope, but we won them in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s - what's wrong with fans hoping to keep up these standards in the 10s?

Ultimately, we're not even attempting to compete for trophies, and that's what's totally unacceptable. Our PL campaigns are driven purely to achieve CL qualification, the CL itself is treated purely as a cash cow rather than a legitimate target, and the two domestic cups are thrown down the drain because they have nothing to do with the CL.

I really do wish Wenger would leave just to finally put to bed any delusions you have that we will all of a sudden compete for the top trophies again. We could have fergie in charge and it would make fuck all difference when our rivals spend between £25m-48.6m on a SINGLE player while we spend £8m-15m. Now watch someone try and say how we've got a high wage budget which in actual fact is dwarfed by the top three

There was never a chance he wasn't going to be offered an extension, the bloke will choose when he leaves. Our board is a mixture of spineless wankers, indifferent pricks and greedy nobheads - who there is going to sack him? Especially given that he's essentially one of them, attending board meetings and the AGM.

But which dwarfs the team that finished 5th by a single point on the last day of the season.

Of course the money that Wenger invested in Gervinho and Giroud - a combined €25m and 120k per week in wages, plus the £15m on Arshavin plus £80k per week wages, and the huge amounts paid out to Chamakh, Bendtner, Djourou, Denilson, Fabianski etc, couldn't have been bettered by a dud like Fergie

Question for you buddy.......can we afford to buy three £25m players ?

Another question for you......will we buy three (or even two) £25m players ?

Lastly why will we not buy three £25m players ? The answer to that is arsene wanker who refuses point blank to spend the money available to him despite the glaring need for top quality in the team  Is he refusing to spend cos of the added pressure it will then bring ? Is he refusing to spend out of some sort of moral stance against ridiculous amounts of money in the game ? Fcuk knows what his reason but I do know that in all his soundbites against the amount of money being thrown about in the game, he has never mentioned his whopping £7.5m per season contract which shows him up to be the hypocritical know it all c**t that most of us have known for a long time  :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

To be fair Ferguson is notorious for not getting the best out of his players, standing idly by whilst the status quo goes pear-shaped and has explicitly stated that the opposition has no bearing on his tactics. Oh wait....

Sorry to hear that mate. Best I cancel your "I Luv AW" T-shirt and personalised Away Boyz CD then ?

Believe me, if I was ever in the position to get Gazidis's bollocks on a skewer I'd make sure the weasel faced runt would be attached to them still with the heat turned up to the maximum. I'd call it the Arsenalization of the BBQ.....the hollow turdbag

Same as that - I hoped against hope that arsole would fcuk off this summer but once he didnt go in the days after the season ended then I knew that we were stuck with him for another 12 months
However I have to say, that for all the jesting about steve's ficticious BBQ, I really expected him to fcuk off next summer and now that this story has surfaced I am losing the will to live. Giving the c**t a new contract not only consigns us to more years of decline but it also sends out the message loud and clear that finishing 4th and going nowhere in the cups constitutes a successful season within our club   I eagerly look forward to the day next season that the fans absolutely lambast and ridicule him publicly at the grove and when that happens it will be long overdue. I really believe that will really happen and personally I would rather it happened in the first few weeks of the season as opposed to midway through the league by which time we will havemeekly surrendered yet again and have nothing but the vt 4th place trophy to play for

Augie - distance your own feelings from the decision (as I have ever since the Yank took over) and look at it through Kroenke's eyes.......which is why I have known all along this day would come, even more so with the virtual trophy in the bag once more

Kroenke bought the club. He has a manager quite prepared to sell its best players for a profit every season and deliver him a 4th place finish and CL football. Winning the league might take another £80m of investment. The difference between 1st and 4th in prize money terms is about £2.5m. He still sells out the ground every week (even if bums aren't on seats, most of the time its ST holders that have paid anyway). Wenger staying for another 3 years will earn Kroenke probably £80m-£120m of profit that any ambitious manager would not deliver for him. By that time all of the debt will be repaid and he will be free to sell Arsenal to the next high wealth individual.

Kroenke is the death of the club. Gazidis is his paid executioner and Wenger the willing assistant. This will be the case until 2017 at the earliest

BBQ or not, it is absolutely inevitable that Wenger will stay beyond 2014 and even more inevitable is the fact the tourist fan base of 2017 will still demand more of that 'matchday experience' at the Bowl.

Failing to qualify for that fucking horrible competition is what is required and for more than one season

Kroenke cares about one thing - money. If Wenger makes more of it, he stays. If he doesn't and impairs his investment he might not.
