Re: Gregory Isaacs's "Rumours Dem Spreadin'" Thread

Dempsey would be a great signing for us in theory but haven't we got too many similar style of players as it is ? Would be happy to take him if we sold any or all of bendtner, chamakh, arshavin and walnut but pointless signing him at the mo imo. Right now the DM position should be THE absolute priority but then again I have been saying that for the past two years now

Agree with you on the DM....If Dempsey is ,as alleged, refusing to play and trying to force a move then let him rot. We have had enough egos at Arsenal without adding another.

Despite his assurances that we have only seen half of the story and the rest will become clear, the way he's conducted himself is an absolute disgrace. If you don't want to play for a club.... DON'T SIGN A FUCKING LONG-TERM CONTRACT :banghead: :banghead:

Unless his kid is extremely ill and the only hospital providing the treatment he needs is in Liverpool or some equally far-fetched scenario, there's no moral pressure on Fulham to sell him at all. Contracts are just a bargaining tool nowadays for clubs. Bale has just signed a new one but if Spurs have another year like last year he'll leave this summer anyway, only difference is that they'll probably get £5m more.

All incoming transfer are over. Outgoing Song today and surely Walcott must go to Liverpool. Yep in profit again on the transfers. Dont expect much from this season but this one could really bite Kronke on the arse. Its not too overboard to say that Van Persie and Walcott could have a blinder. With Giroud an unknown force and the ever impressive Chamakh picking up the wooden spoon award then who knows.
Also Bendtner and Arshavin must get the hell out as getting a wad of cash and burning it to start a BBQ would be a better use of it.

you're strangely confident of a transfer that seems very unlikely...
why?

Ironic, but not in the least surprising, that the players who were top of most fans lists for the exit door are the players that we will be left with come sept 1st  Realistically does anybody see arshavin, bendtner and feo leaving at this stage ? Does anybody see wenger committing to that drastic an overhaul of the squad even though many of us feel that it is necessary ? The arshavin to Kiev rumours have totally died down and a rumoured 1m transfer to fulham is taking the piss :x The latest club linked to bendtner is celta vigo who certainly won't meet his 3 demands ( ) so I don't see an exit on the horizon for him either :( It is also clear that the victims need to fund raise before they could contemplate buying walnut and with Carroll refusing to leave and them looking for ridiculous money for agger then I can't see them generating cash from player sales anytime soon

The transfer window so far hasn't been the worst (assuming song fcuks off) and two or three astute purchases combined with exits of the above players would leave me happy with our business this summer

Arsenal do not let players go for free. Unless he signed a new contract that none of us know about he must be sold. Where he goes is unclear but we have been down this road many times. I actually liked Walcott although I do agree he has been hit and miss for us.

I think (hope) he'll sign, people go on about Asian shirt selling players - the UK is a huge market
and Theo is a big name in it
+ England players get decisions a lot easier than foreigners

obviously he can get better but he's a real weapon
(now waiting for the - replace weapon with tool gag)

in our most successful seasons under Wenger all our main scorers score their first goal early (and get double figures)
really hope Feo can get one today

I hope theo realises the chance he has this season, he really could become a big player for us! I'd love him to do it too :barscarf:

I think I'm drunk on new season optimism

Wenger has said that another defensive player will come in - probably before the end of this week-end.

We all know Dozy *word censored* song is off...so hopefully a Proper Holding MId-fielder will come in.

Sorrrrtted! :barscarf:
