Steve Bruce makes a return to Sender

Steve Bates
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce will make a £7million move for Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos after losing patience in his bid to sign Manchester City's Richard Dunne, writes Steve Bates.

City boss Mark Hughes won't let Dunne leave until he's signed a replacement. Bruce won't hang around as he assembles his first Black Cats squad so will turn to Senderos, who has returned to Arsenal after a season on loan at AC Milan.

Senderos has never been a Gunners' regular since his £2.5m move from Servette six years ago, but Bruce likes his nofrills style.

Arsenal set to nab Chelsea youngster
Arsene Wenger is set to nick Chelsea's highest-rated youngster in years.

Frank Nouble, 17, came through the ranks at Stamford Bridge but turned down professional forms with the Blues as he fears he will not get any first-team opportunities.

The free-scoring left-winger has been tracked for some time by Arsenal youth supremo Liam Brady.

Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is interesting Arsenal
Arsenal have watched Huntelaar over the past four years but his performances in Spain have failed to dazzle.

Yet the idea of linking him with international team-mate Robin van Persie is appealing and reports in Spain and Holland are making Arsenal the new favourites.

Looks like we are making a massive summer signing after all!
Arsenal have invited Serbian wonderkid Veljko Batrovic for a trial, skysports.com understands.

Batrovic, who is currently with FK Bubamara, is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in European football.

The 15-year-old is one of the most sought-after talents in the world with the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan all courting his services.

However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to steal a march on his rivals by offering the skilful attacker the chance to join the Gunners for training.

Batrovic, who has been likened to Lionel Messi, is expected to travel to London next week to undergo a short trial at Arsenal and Wenger could try and set up a deal to sign the teenager if he impresses.

Yeah, and we´ll be able to reap the fruit of his development in how many years? 4? 6? 10?
