I don't believe the Jones thing. He's a Northern lad and United are in for him, I don't think we really had a chance.

If Cahill AND Samba were both signed, would it mean TV would move to the left, with Squillaci and Clichy going?

Whereas Denilson is Brazilan but when you see him play he doesn't look Brazilian at all! Weird.

I see the wages we offered Phil Jones were wayyyyyyy below what United offered. Surprise surprise
Source?
I think asking for the 'source' of this is pretty futile and any info like this should just be taken as rumour.

Arsenal don't even announce a transfer fee (undisclosed being the term of choice) so I hardly think that persoanl financial information would be out in the public domain.

In that case i would suggest that TeeCee does not try and pass it off as though it is anything more than a rumour. The way that he worded was in such a way that i thought there was actual information on us providing significantly less than Utd in terms of wages.

That is a backline that could win the league.

Just seen first photo of Gervinho: black, moustached with obviously balding receding hairline but strangely the hair he does have is grown very long. Funny looking fucker who could be a character out of Guess Who?

I like tv5 as a player and believe he could become a great player for us but I would bot be happy with him being shafted out to left back. He is a centre back that can play left back and it is another step down the road where we have players that "can do a job" for us in secondary positions - has the concept of playing players in their rightful positions totally escaped wenger ?

Agreed!
I'm finding it more and more infuriating when I see comments off 'TV can play left back' or 'he would be a good defensive midfielder'.
Yes he might be good and most top players can, as Augie states, do-a-job in other positions. but he's a Centreback.

So do you think he would make a good left back?

I have suggested moving Wilshere to left-back as he is left footed and could do a job there.

Nobody seems to have taken this seriously!

I'm not Vermalen's biggest fan at CB. I think with his height and ability to go forward he'ld fit in well at LB. I'm nto saying it will happen it was a mere suggestion.

and Bendtners ability to keep the ball out of the net is second to none.
