Well the squad is too big! He's even quoted that a little while back

We may not think it as the quality of players beyond the first team is poor but the amount of fringe players/reserves is shocking. I counted about 11 that should be up for sell!!!

So I think Wenger shot himself in the foot. I don't think he can't spend anymore as he'll break the wage budjet. Doing that would go against his (or the boards) own hype.

For the first time ever I actually hope that we sign nobody. For the first time I can sense there is a stronger anti-Wenger sentiment building. Even AKBs I know are pulling their hair out at why we aren't moving for players in this window

and there's another important point to that: i'm not sure if wenger is capable of making the right signings, even if given shitloads of money. maybe it's best that he doesn't, that he just keeps on selling our best players (we could get some nice 20 millions from van persie, huh?) and then when another manager comes up, we'll have no team but at least lots of money for that manager to build a decent team.

that said, i don't think our board will be looking for major changes when wenger's gone.

Agree, but what would we do with a second striker. We're so rigidly cast into the Self Harmer's 4-5-1 with RvP as the sole striker that we don't have room for him. He wants first team football and is sick of the bench. That won't change at our place. If its benchwarmers that don't moan we're after then the Self Harmer made the right choices in no-marks like Park, and kids like the Ox, that are happy to be here.......and that sums the man up

fucking hell in the last few seasons we signed at least 8 gibbses and 13 diabys! at least we stopped signing rosickys and van persies for a while!

I think that the only hope we have at the moment is for a BIG signing (or preferably two). Not just because we need more quality, but because the club, players, fans etc need a lift. A Xhaka, Goetze, Podolski, Hazard would fit the bill.

AW is an intelligent man. He must know we are in danger of imploding. However, I fear he is too stubborn and that we're fucked for the rest of the season.
