RIP Thread

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Taking this random post as an example, but hasn't this thread (and cusamano's endless contributions) kind of lost itself up its own arse by starting an obituary on pretty much anyone, even though no one has ever heard of them? :?

I think I preferred individual RIP threads, as at least then notable people who actually had an effect on the lives of forum members are honoured, whereas in this monstrosity of a thread, they're being lost amongst the deaths of mostly irrelevant individuals! (sorry if that's insensitive   )

Just my two-penneth worth 8)
Think individual threads might clog up the forum but agree that this thread is a joke now. Should be for those that have passed away and affect people personally in some way, whether it be a family member/friend or a famous person who they feel an affinity towards or who they feel are particularly deserving of a mention.

If you feel burdened by the death of a man who 3 decades ago served in the French cabinet for 3 years I really sympathise with you.
This is what the thread was meant for.
Just that a death relevant to one person means little to someone else.
So we can only guess that Cusamano has an amazing Rolodex of contacts throughout many different facets of society in many different countries, ranging from French ex-Foreign Ministers to porn stars to the Bishop of Gaylord.
Perhaps Cusamano is actually Kofi Anan using a nome-de-net?

Dunno about that but his nickname in school was 'The Grim Reaper' - Maybe we should organise a meet with him and Wenker! :D

Ah, but was he national champion in Yodelskiing, the alpine sport of simultaneously hurtling down a mountain and shouting, practised in summer months only on wheeled skis lest wintertime yodelling triggers an avalanche?
