Wasn't going to bother with Match of the Day, but it's a guarantee now to see Lineker wipe away those tears for long enough to keep his false face of neutrality on while the cameras are running.

Oh and Shearer who predicted us to miss out for so long.

Chimp boy Crunt.
I think that's very funny.
Its only like what we've been saying all season, ridiculing Wenger and the AKBs for the fourth place is like a trophy shit
Yeah but we can slag our club off because it's our club. Jug Ears can fuck right off the bitter Sp*rs twat.
Spot on. We have a right to complain, what with being put through it every week.

I'm all for some objective criticism and fuck knows the club is due some but not from that twat who hates us and is just pissed off because we're not as shit as he likes to suggest every fucking week.

He's a fucking smug twat.

Gary Neville on Arsenal - "They've spent £9million net in 10 years and maintained the level of consistency of getting in the Champions League.
"They've built a football stadium, they're paying off their debt and they're nearly there. If they move up now it will look like one of the most magnificent managerial performances when you look back in history.
"Half the Arsenal fans are annoyed because they think they should be doing more and should be doing better, but of all the madness and debt that surrounds football, what they have done is absolutely the right thing.
"What they now need to do, having nearly paid off their debt, is they need to go now. I think he knows, Arsene Wenger, that moment is now."

Must say he says it as it is, and is mostly right. Not a bad pundit Neville. Not like jug earred fuck face.

With some justification, to be fair.

Personally, I think Wenger should probably walk away sooner rather than later, but there's little doubt resources have been limited and - for me at least - this summer feels significant in that the new-improved sponsorship deals are in place and CL football looks once again assured.

It also feels like Arsenal intend to spend, and that's why I was desperate for us to finish top 4. I didn't want the club being able to use finishing 5th, and the obvious penalties that brings, as an excuse for carrying on this Groundhog Day experience.

They're out of excuses, and I genuinely think they know it. I expect more money NET to be spent this summer than any other in Wenger's reign. They won't match the spending - or wages - of our rivals though, I'm sure.

Either way, this summer feels pivotal.

Neville's statement is 100% right. I know many of us are annoyed and stressed at what has happened since the invincibles, but even if we didnt move there would have been no guarentee that we'd be winning things. Just look at Liverfool. They've spent a fortune and for what? They aren't even a UEFA cup team anymore. No new stadium to show for it either.

With the new sponsorship coming in I honestly think we are out of the woods. Austerity is over.

No he isnt 100% fcuking right - the manc c.unt cites having a shite squad to work with as a defence of wenger but conveniently forgets the fact that it was wenker who accumulated this shite squad
Will this supposed transfer war chest instill a level of tactical aptitude that is nowhere inside wenker's head ?
Will this influx of cash allow him to make substitutions other than the pre planned 70th minute one's ?
Will it now prevent him from playing players out of position ?

Gooners should stop using the invincibles as the point at which all subsequent teams are compared to as well cos they only do that to make it easier to defend this current squad (any squad would pale into significance compared to the 03/04 squad). Why not compare this squad with the 96/97 squad that wenker inherited ? If he left in the morning then he will be leaving behind a much weaker squad than he inherited and that is a fact :x

I dont care if wenker was given a 200m transfer kitty this summer cos in my opinion he is no longer capable of leading us to glory again anyway. People can use the victims as a defence of our own mess but at least the scousers have made attempts to change the downward spiral that they are on whilst we are afraid to try to improve lest we might fail  A manager that spends 12m on the forehead and 12m on giroud in subsequent seasons shouldnt be allowed any more money to spend - these are not cheap buys so it isnt the size of his budget but more down to his mis-use of that budget. I believe that there are loads of managers that coud have done as good if not better on his transfer budget and they woudnt be on 7.5m per season  It seems that now we got top 4 wenker is no longer the problem in some Gooners eyes.....look forward to having this same discussion next summer

Unless this grand masterplan comes to fruition in the next few years all that the shiny bowl will represent will be everything we gave up for no reason.

Austerity isn't over, not by a long way. Ironic isn't it that we built this shiny new bowl as a machine designed purely to generate income and yet still, with some of the highest ticket prices in world football, we would be making a loss without player sales. Something somewhere has gone way fucking wrong.

1+1 does not equal 3

Like I said I'm frustrated. I defo don't think we got the balance right between austerity and buying, but maybe its the euthoria. I think/hope things will change.

Can we just be happy for 1 day?

Okay, I'll take you through it the hypocrisy:

- Your username is spendsum4uckingmoney, which indicates complete disagreement and dissatisfaction with the club's reluctance to spend money on transfers in the past few years.
- Gary Neville says that despite criticism from many Arsenal fans, the board have done "absolutely the right thing" in not spending money.
- You then agree unreservedly with what Neville says.

No we can't. We scraped 4th in one of the worst Premier leagues ever. Why oh why do any of you believe we are going to spend money? Go back and read the equivalent threads for the last 7/8 years. :x :x

I agree that if we don't have a billionaire subsidiser, and god how I wish there fucking board sold to the sheiks, then I don't want us to do a Leeds.

Like I said the balance hasn't been right, the board haven't invested a penny and its unnecessary. Its unnecessary because we are making profit and we can bank on future sposnoship.
