The Yaya Sanogo lack of Progress Thread

He is. He is much worse than Giroud. It's just his approach - more bull in a china shop than laboured slug - offers the team a bit more in terms of dragging defenders about, not killing the tempo in the final third and creating space for attacking midfielders to play in. Don't mistake that for him having one iota of footballing talent.

Let's just remind ourselves what Kim Jong Wenger said of the great man back in August:

"We have signed Sanogo, he has not made the headlines. Why? Because he is not £50m to £100million, but I am quite confident he will make them soon on the pitch, and that for me is the most important.”

Headlines.

I remember him saying that and at the time I cringed.

Lo and behold Sanogo plays like a ligue 2 player.

Sorry but I disagree. At least Sanogo has a turn of pace, bit of aggression about him. Giroud offers absolutely fuck all. A nothing player and his attitude stinks to boot.

Why are you arguing they are both shit and not fit to wear an Arsenal shit.To think Wenger bought carthorse Giroud to replace RVP.Inthe 80's we had Hawley Hankin and Chapman now we have Giroud Bender and the Postman

He has to be the worst player I have ever seen, funny thing is he seems to know what to do but is totally incapable of doing it.

I thought he played very well. He just needs that first goal and he will be banging them in for fun.

I HATE him! ( not you, Sid :-P )

He can hold a ball up well but then loses it. Like a brain dead Adebayor

What did he do wrong? He had 2 opportunities all night, both of which he created from a tough position. Both of them were well saved by the keeper.

every touch he took was bad, his positioning was awful, he didn't use his strength at all and fluffed every chance he got.

seriously you need to watch the players when they're not on the ball as well as when they're on it. not that he did anything at all with the ball at his feet.
