The FA Cup Final: The Arsenal v A.Villa

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

To those lucky enough to be going to Wembley today..support the team as loudly and as passionately as possible, to those not going do the same. I am sick with nerves.

" March on march on The Boys of Highburuy ..March on March on March on to Victory..The Gunners colours on the Cup is what we're gonna see..When we go marching on Wembley." :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I sense the same "pre-Monaco, this lot are shit" feeling amongst many of the Gooners I've spoken to.

I only hope our players don't have one of those days, especially against these scummy, irritating twats

I'll never forget taking my little boy to his first game at Highbury and now I'm lucky enough to be taking him to his first FA Cup Final. He was my lucky mascot at United and the semi so maybe good luck comes in 3s??
Literally shaking with nerves and excitement!!!
Just filled up my hip flask with sloe gin......purely medicinal purposes you'll understand.
Special day but will mean little if there are no yellow and blue ribbons on the trophy at around 7.30pm

COME ON YOU YELLOWS :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Have this rotten feeling that tomorrow's headlines gonna be about Benteke and Grealish. Villa probably shit, but unlike us they arrive with a world class striker on his day.If we turn up with the same attitude as last year we is fucked. Headin for the pub soon, it's good day to be a Gooner.

This is the team I think Wonga will start....................Ospina, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Ramsey, Ozil, Sanchez, Coquelin, Cazorla, Giroud. I think Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott will come on at some point but will start on the bench. Not long now :D

Right THAT's IT - JUST STOP - BACK THE FUCKK UP - eENOUGH OF ALL THIS NEGATIVE SHITT !!!!!!

We are THE Arsenal - Any Gooner with an iota of intelligence knows that if 'IF' we turn up and play our best football we WILL Win...If we turn up and don't come out of the traps quick, focused and determined - It could be a Looooooong day....But all this Negativity - which I get really I do...But 99% of the Gooners I have spoken with AND most on here are realistic and are not of that mind set of 'just turn up and lift the cup' - That ain't gonna happen...The team learnt their lesson with that last year

Our players will be fired up and keen to win another trophy - Success breeds success - They've been here before (last year) and they will remember only too well how they nearly fucked it up....

So let all the wanky pundits like carragher, owen, and that other scouse inbred *word censored* (most of whom have a downer on The Arsenal anyway) blather on :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: Cos they can all go and fuck themselves.

WE just get behind our team - Sing, Shout, LOUD & PROUD!

I think he will go with:

Szchezney (I hope he plays Ospina - But think he will stick with his GK for FA Cup Plan)

Bellerin - BFG - Kos ~ Monreal

Ramsey - Coq - Santi - Ozil

Alexis - Giroud

And Walcott & Jack on at 70minutes.(Barring injuries of course)villans will (try and ) play a 'physical' game - Benteke is a beast but Kos can handle him..and Coq can sort Dembe....We need to be at our Best - And our Best is good enough.

Best of luck today lads, really hope you keep Sherwood and their immensely irritating fans quiet and bring the cup back home with you :barscarf:

Afternoon guys,

I rarely post, (just a few in the old "Streams" thread) but I enjoy reading the banter.

I obviously married well, because my wife has put 3 of my old gooner shirts on the bed for us to wear later (same ritual as last year, and we all love a good omen)

Just wanted to pop in and say good luck, I am nervous as shite, (I don't think Arsenal fans ever have a "confident" setting),

Another few San Miguels (on my 4Th :barscarf: thanks Tesco metro for selling them at £1.25 a bottle) and I will be on my first rendition of "she wore"

I love that we are playing in yellow, another good omen with the Charlie George (who did my stadium tour a few years back) laying on the old turf image in my head (Yes I'm getting old)

I don't like saying it- but this has defeat written all over it. Think we'll get hit on the counter and we'll control the possession.

Oh absolutely, Benteke header in the 86th minute, but if you drink some more, all the negative thoughts fade away and you begin to annoy the neighbours........)

Come on you yellows :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

That by the way is a proper football kit
