As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yep. Also Guariola is now trying to implement his own system (4-3-3 or 4-1-4-1) in Bayern so that means playing with one defensive midfielder. Last season Bayern played 4-2-3-1 and the double pivot duo were Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez. Now there is space for only one DM so that means Luiz Gustavo's first-team opportunities are now even more limited. Also in a recent friendly with Barcelona, Guardiola played Lahm, Kroos and Thiago in midfield whilst Luiz Gustavo was on the bench. So that might mean that Guardiola just doesn't want Luiz Gustavo. Either that or Luiz Gustavo wants to leave because he wants to play regular football.

I thought he was given a free transfer.
Loan
Blimey, I'm wrong
Free transfer.
Oh well, glad I'm wrong about that one and it also means I've got my one allowable mistake per season out the way early

COME ON.
Who the bloody hell is Samuel? says he works in "Admin". So does my auntie Christine
Doesn't sound like the most reliable source
Apparently Sky Sports News reported it on their Transfer Centre bit. Would make perfect sense and be a great deal, although unfortunately 1989 has rang the death knoll with his enthusiasm

Raphael Honigstein (German football journalist) has said that we are close to getting him:
To expand on Gustavo/Arsenal: feeling in Munich is that he's off but earlier this evening, Rummenigge said LG hadn't decided yet (12:13 PM - 11 Aug 13)
But it's only a question of him agreeing personal terms - valuation not an issue. (12:22 PM - 11 Aug 13)
I personally think Luiz Gustavo will fit in brilliantly in our new look side with Bernard and Higuain
