SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

COME ON.
Who the bloody hell is Samuel? says he works in "Admin". So does my auntie Christine

Doesn't sound like the most reliable source :?
Apparently Sky Sports News reported it on their Transfer Centre bit. Would make perfect sense and be a great deal, although unfortunately 1989 has rang the death knoll with his enthusiasm
I've been burned too many times this summer hopefully this one will come through.
hope is only thing left....if we buy him I will be surprised...3 weeks before deadline.... :)

If there's one guy on this forum that deserved a big signing to come through then its you mate. I don't know where you got the energy from to keep positive but fair play to you.

Sadly, being the pessimistic bastard that I am, instead of looking at the remaining 3 weeks as an opportunity for us to buy, I'm thinking there is still a chance of a big sale. Koscielny, Cazorla or Sagna being among the possibilities.

No chance of Santi or Kos being allows to leave, Bac will want to maximise his last contract
I'm sure you know that and the bonkers negativity is some sort of defence mechanism
everyone is super excited about Gustavo. Personally not seen enough to judge.
Would we sign him AND the young Colombian?

So, when can I see him playing for Shaktar Donetsk then?

He did quite well for Brazil in the CCup ( but that's kinda the beer cup of national teams) For Bayern he was good, never great, and did quite a lot of covering work as LB. Not what we need but miles better than no one.

As for the Colombian... why buy him? He didn't impress me one bit and will have a permit issue.

:D That's partly true.

But really, if someone like Bayern came in with a big offer for Koscielny or a Spanish team for Cazorla would you completely trust the club to turn it down? I wouldn't. Not after what happened last summer ... and the one before that ... and the one before that ...

Fantastic. Don't fuck it up Arsenal, please.

Interesting bit on Suarez as well. Another bid going in soon apparently.

Hopefully he will move. I want to see David Brent crying about loyalty

Tomorrow is the deadline for registering players ahead of the CL play-offs. Let's wrap up the signing of the Brazilian bulldog ASAP.

RG,

Pretty sure he was refering to Gustavo

Speaking of, colour me 'meh' until it's announced on Pravda, as the Higuain farce demonstrated 'tis unwise to get one's hopes up. I imagine we'll string this transfer out until our qualification for the UEFA same-teams-every-year Money League is assured anyway.

Would be happy with Gustavo but also think we should've gone for Higuain too instead of cunting around with the Bin Dippers over Hannibal.
