When that judas c**t was making his first return to our club we all knew that there would be close on 60,000 fans baying for his blood thus generating one of those intimadating atmospheres that we have all read so much about . What did redaction do though ? They told fans the best way to deal with this situation was to ignore the c**t altogether WTF ??? If these people claim to be the voice of us fans then at that moment I decided that they were not speaking for me and it was obvious that the words they were using was coming not from the mouths of fans but from the club instead. After that I decided that I could not trust the motives and actions of people who I view to be serving two masters
Interesting theory.
I wasn't at the game, and wasn't aware of RedAction's stance.. but if it was to ignore Cashley, then yes, it's hard to believe that they weren't acting as the mouthpiece of the club.
For what it's worth, at least Redaction stand and sing during games.. and as a fan, i always try hard to get a ticket in the north lower, so I can be close to RedAction, as this is where the atmosphere - in my opinion - is best... and I also tihnk the best way of improving the match day atmosphere, would be to majorly extend the RedAction area.
Maybe now that they're "in bed" with the club, they might be able to do this. Not holding my breath though.

I was no fan of what Cole did, or rather how he went about doing what he did.
But I think we have to accept that many players see their clubs as employers rather than objects of affection. That is the reality of the game these days.
If fans want to boo and jeer, then they can IMO. They pay there hard earned money just like the rest of us, it's like the standing/sitting issue. I think a lot of it is down to vast frustration. When we were "invincible" it was a party mood at every game, we basically knew we would win every game. But the barrier got raised in that era and i think most fan's associate this current squad with that one and EXPECT the same performances week in week out because of the football we played and the level we took it too. Remember the chant "That's why were Unbeatable, That's why were Unbeatable". The Grove will never have a good atmosphere week in week out unless the club listen to us fans.
How about we start a new atmosphere group and strictly leave it to improving the atmosphere?? I for one would write to the club asking for them to listen to us and our ideas. Such as Card displays, a new theme the players walk out to, getting rid of the announcer who week in week out turns it into a circus act.
i think the hate for cole is because alot of us could see him as a future captain of the club,he came from through the youth system and was destined to stay his whole career as a loyal gooner.
instead he got his thick as shit head turned by a geordie slapper and money money money

I do not disagree with your view Lethal.
I just think that Cole, as much as he was an Arsenal fan, was impatient and naive in expecting his wages to be raised to a high level, at a time in the clubs history when they were tightening their belt ahead of the move to the new stadium.

GUNNERS, ARE YOU RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY?!?!!!
get fucked
and the name thing? what the fuck? i can understand after a goal is scored (fenerbahce when guiza scored?) but the line up thing is cringeworthy

Sol to Arsenal
Kewell To Galatasaray
Gascoigne to Middlesborough
Figo to Real Madrid
being examples of players moving to rival clubs..
To be honest, I don't really hate Cole for what he did. It saddened me more than anything, as he was an Arsenal boy.. but these things happen.
I will - and have - given Cole hell when he's returned to the Grove, and I'll be honest, I'm already starting to get ready to give Bentley a very warm welcome next week
It's all part and parcel, but unlike the Sp*rs fans did with Campbell, I'll keep it within the boundaries of decency.

I do not mind the announcer. The line up thing (where the crowd say the players surnames) is taken from the way they announce teams on the continent, it is fine, most fans join in.
G88ner
Whilst you are building your ire for Bentley...there is of course the possibility that he might not be in the team!

That would be even better... I'm sure he would find it rather humiliating to be warming up as a substitute at the Grove. Hardly fits in with his "superstar" status, does it

well the only foreign football ive seen so far has been on telly so build-up is usually skipped in favour of something to do with john terry's toe or something and so i respect your point, but it just feels contrived and artificial at t'grove
Yeah it just feels fake and like a panto "he's behind you" sort of thing. Look at Fenerbache, they have a card display every home game basicaly spelling out "welcome to hell" ok the Grove is'nt anywhere near hell, but we need away fans to feel intimidated and the opposition players beat in the tunnel. I would piss my self of laughter if i was a player and i walked out to "the wonder of you".
