Calo - You're not "radical", you're a reactionary.
A radical would go against the grain and suggest something revolutionary, for example, a football manager who espoused a purist tradition and refused to buy big names on principal, going against the flow, would be radical.
Someone making kneejerk reactions, to such managers, and also to books that they have never read, would be reactionary.
Someone who espoused censorship regarding something they have not fully researched, in the style of the "Daily Mail", would be a reactionary.
Enjoy the weekend, pal...

When I first started supporting Arsenal we won the FA CUp in 79 but I was 2 so would of remember that then I had to wait to 87 league cup for success it was 18 years since our last title Success in 89 now that was a baron spell the trouble is that people like yourself Calo is you have never known lack of success like myself and more so the older members on here!Radford149 wrote:that is pure undiluted drivel, you're getting worseCalo wrote:if we never won a trophy ever again and i'd still be a gooner but very upsetTheOne2Smooth wrote:if we had ten years of no trophies it wouldnt bother me than at least we would get rid of the glory hunters like Calo
10 years i c and it wouldnt bother you? shows how much you care then
You know why 89 will live on in many Gooners hearts and minds not only was it so dramatic, It was we waited so bloody long for it, No title win will ever fill like 89 to me!
I have watch Arsenal for over 25 years Ive seen some of the greatest football and some of the worst but one thing that sets me apart is I have sampled both where as yourself haven't

My housemate is a big Chelsea fan (c*nt!

In my opinon, he's missed out on the emotion of winning the title the proper way. The relief and euphoria that surrounded Anfield '89 and even the double in '98 are very special moments.
Anyway, back to your post... I think Calo is much older than you think, mate

Who can genuinely say they supported Arsenal at the age of two?g88ner wrote:Good post, Smoothy..TheOne2Smooth wrote:When I first started supporting Arsenal we won the FA CUp in 79 but I was 2 so would of remember that then I had to wait to 87 league cup for success it was 18 years since our last title Success in 89 now that was a baron spell the trouble is that people like yourself Calo is you have never known lack of success like myself and more so the older members on here!

My housemate is a big Chelsea fan (c*nt!) and it's amazing to think that when they finally won the league - for the first time since 1955!!
- he admitted that it didn't feel as orgasmic and euphoric as he'd imagined.. and he was honest enough to admit, that because of Abramovich and his investment, it was always inevitable they'd win the league sooner or later... as is the case with the Champions League.
In my opinon, he's missed out on the emotion of winning the title the proper way. The relief and euphoria that surrounded Anfield '89 and even the double in '98 are very special moments.

Ridiculous statement!

he really should. i was born in 87 so all ive known is success and i am in no hurry to win anything. im a firm believer that a few more years without silverwear should weed out the plastics and day-trippers and we can almost have our club back.TheOne2Smooth wrote:well maybe he should act it?
the only problem is that we would lose a level of class that are hungry (greedy?) for success/money
