I was down in London the other day and visited a pub called the Artillery Arms at the back of Bunhill Fields - which is right on the Islington/City borders.

Just for fun I tried a pint of Fullers Special London Pride. That was as lip smackingly good as anything I've ever had in 40 years :barscarf:

Tuborg Danish lager is also a tasty drop.

We have two proper lagers, Kaltenberg Hell from Bavaria and Budweiser Budvar from the Czech Republic (the proper one not the yank shit). We also have four ciders and a perry along with loads of Belgian beers all with their own glasses.

Some of the best sellers are Dark Star Hophead, Downton Quadhop, Red Squirrel Springfield IPA, Oscar Wilde Mild, York Guzzler, Brewster's Decadence. We have our own ale brewed for us by tring Brewery called Liberty Ale and we grew our own hops for the Red Squirrel Brewery in Hertford to brew Heronsgate Hop Blonde. Our pub being the only place in the country to sell it. Only six casks were made.
Dark Star are one of my favorite breweries. Hophead is class as is their American Pale Ale (for the lager drinker in me) and the Summer Meltdown.

Never had a bad pint from Dark Star, Espresso Stout is good for this time of year as is Hophead Extra

I was drinking Corona tonight. Mexican beer. When I've had it before I didn't really like it. But tonight I thought it was ok.

And had this Italian drink...Sambuca (sp?) and that was quite nice...but not a beer, so I digress.

I have a feeling that a thread about Beer might be longer than Basils obscene Beefcake one :barscarf:
