1200 or so people died in Gaza, a third of whom were civilians.
Who died as a by product of a war being fought where they lived, a war between the Israeli army and the armed groups of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Al-Aqsa Brigades.
Holocaust was something very different.
The intentional killing of millions of civilians.
I am not saying you deliberately used the word to compare what happened 1939-45 to what happened last month, but every word has to be scrutinised, because otherwise people use terms of discussion that are not correct, and in people's minds a perceived event has taken place out of all relation to what actually happened.
