St Totteringham's Day

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just thinking about Sp*rs finishing above us has made me sick.. Thank god we won, and they lost.

Next season they'll get knocked up in the qualifiers and finish 7th.

Am I the only one that finds celebrating this a bit sad.

F**k the y**s, Chelsea just won the league in style and probably will do the double, whilst we fight over the scraps with the scum. Two bald men fighting over a comb comes to mind

When it usually happens, it's normally February or March, and it's some gentle humour to amuse us whilst we're on the way to real success come the end of the season.

However, due to the dramatic decline of our side this season, we're now going into the last day of the campaign fighting it out with them, and thus finally achieving it at the eleventh hour is seen as a success. Actually, that's slightly unfair; it's more of a relief. I'm not sure if it's particularly worthy of celebrating on this occasion on the basis that we limped over the finish line.

But usually, it's much earlier on and is used purely to highlight just how far behind us the Spuds are. Guess the joke's on us this year.

Give it a post or two, and some *word censored* will come on here telling me how we improved "Coz itz all about finishin 3rd indit LOLZ!!!1~"

Spot on mate, hardly anything to get excited about is it? We have enough of our own problems to worry about, let alone those *word censored*
