Stan's the man.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Glad you said what I was thinking MK! Shame we had another couple after it!

Please break your posts into paragraphs. Too much together is tough to read and after a while it's easy to switch off then we don't get your point. Which is a shame because i've found you one of the most intelligent posters around here.

By the way why should we go for chav bernie just because DD's son is giving it to his daughter. What if they have a bad split, he'd be in a position to p*ss off the Dein family by destroying the club DD worked so hard to build into the team it is today.

I'd rather a debt ridden yank (SS at his worst - don't know the plans yet)than a chav and the current board over either.

Can someone please get a copy of Britains rich list and make some calls...if DD knows them then even better!

augie wrote::) DBGonner, I don't mind if you agree with me or not I just love the fact that we, as massive Gooners, can come on a forum like this and debate all the issues re our club. I would have ask what you consider to be silly ticket prices cos almost all gooners that I speak to already complain about the prices at the grove which see's us as either the highest or 2nd highest prices in the country...

...As I stated elsewhere all I am suggesting is that we as fans hold our fire in deciding whether we are pro or anti kroenke until the financial details are revealed and then I am sure the AST will enlighten us all as to the meaning of these figures
A very good post Augie. I know your heart's in the right place, mate. You love the Gunners as much as any of us.

I doubt we'll ever agree on this SS thing but that's what makes this forum great; different opinions! 8)

"Silly" ticket prices would be when we (the majority of non-wealthy fans, I suppose) look at the cost of going, weigh it against our income, raising kids, paying bills etc etc and decide, that's it, I can't go anymore.

A good point about holding our fire. I admit my posts regarding SS are worst case scenarios based on what is happening at manure, the well-known yank business practice of "sweating the assett" and the little that SS has said. But I wonder how much of those "financial details" will actually be revealed before a takeover was completed? Unlike manure, we are a private listed company and I don't think we are as open to public scrutiny as manure are, being a public listed company. I could be wrong on that - any business analysts or city whizz kids out there care to add to that?? :?

And, no offense, Augie - but I concur with the lads; can you break your posts down into paragraphs please? I mightn't always agree with what you write but I like reading your stuff and it does get hard to read a large post if it's just one big wall of words... We nearly have most of the phone txt :? lads (I'm thinking of my mate rebel gooner!! ) out of that habit and it makes the forum more enjoyable. :)
