Aussie squad suffered a fair bit of turmoil centred around Andrew Symonds in the lead up. Still, no excuses can be made. If they want to be one of the best sides in the world they can't get away with performances like those.

Oh there is a rivalry, but I don't hate New Zealand. Would much rather follow them than England, South Africa, India or whatever other countries are there. Plus New Zealand aren't a big cricketing rival. They're more like underdogs there, unlike in Rugby.
