classic knee jerk bollox from our fans again. Yes he may have had a decent game yesterday but over the course of this season Song has done far more in the same role.

Awaits the why we ddn't sign Darren Bent as our fox in the box thrread next.

I seem to remember song holding his own in this game, not perfect but probably one of the better players on our team, Nasri, Rosicky and (of whom i am a big fan) and Average Al, were shocking giving the ball away all the time.

I seem to remember also that Song danced through thier whole defence and setup eddie for what should have been a goal, and mabye a match winner becuase then they would have had to go out for a goal, and risk losing more goals on the counter.

Think he was one of the few players to be able to hold his head up after that game, also thought that Traore played OK for his first proper game in months, just back from injury.

To be fair I dont think fans are talking up cana in a bid to diss song - what we are all saying is that in a team of midgets and softies this team needs a big strong physical presence that cana would bring and song simply cannot. Song's game is based on intercepting opposition passes and in that aspect he has def improved but I will always argue that we need a big strong ballwinner that will allow cesc, nasri, rosicky et al to go play their game - whether cana is the answer to that I do not know but I dont think song is

I agree also we dont have a player that the opposition are scared of, and I dont mean somebody going arround breaking legs and ancles, but with somebody like Cana in the team, I m sure the likes of Fletcher would think twice before kicking the small players up in air

I love Cana, always have always will, he's class. I think the nearest I have come to "not rating him" is when I said that, out of him and Cattermole, Cattermole has had the bigger impact and has looked the better player, which he has in my opinion. Before the match I was saying such things as "jones got a 3 match ban so will be out, cattermole is out until about the new year, but Cana will be back, and he's a fucking beast", so its fair to say I rate the lad! If Cana keeps playing as well as he did yesterday he will be attracting more interest from other clubs before long- his price tag will put most off now though tbh.

I do apologise safcftm. Could have sworn someone was called a not very good on the ball hacker (or words to that effect), could have sworn it was you about Cana. Evidently, I was wrong

or your part of the anti Song conspiracy!
