Greatest ever memory at Highbury
On page one, CWC semi vs PSG only a passing note.
That night was fucking amazing. More than a semi-final, we had done those the year before. Ginola terrorised us but we hung on in there. Kevin Campbell got a lot of stick but that night he was a legend. I was still a boy but grown men were hugging each other in front of my eyes. I found it homo-erotic, it made me curious. I tried it but I didn't like it. That memory wasnt at Highbury, so yeah, anyway, PSG CWC Semi. Innit.

Bloody hell, I'm filling up here!!BT wrote:Has to be Everton 98 for me too...a perfect mix of the old faithful and the new excitement that Wenger had brought...Tony Adams with his arms aloft in the sunshine...North Bank rocking...cheering all the players as they left the ground...spending the evening drinking somewhere near Highbury even though I was underage and it was a few days before my gcse exams begun.
And a personal memory was taking my dearly beloved late grandma to see us play villa (her team) and after we beat them quite badly her wanting to stay after the ground had emptied out for a fag. A steward came over to clear us out and asked my gran why she didnt flick her ash on the floor like everyone else instead of into her portable ashtray. She smiled and said 'I wouldnt want to dirty this beautiful ground'
Ah this is making me very teary-eyed.
Never saw Arsenal
You lot are making me sad, I started supporting them in 2006, not exactly the better time
Not that it matters that much but eh...
I only ever saw one football game. PSG Montepellier at the Par des Princes in 2000 or 1999... can't recall. I was 13. PSG won 3-0
Anelka played for them back then. Definitely a great night. Can't say I remember much now

Which reminds me.....
My dad's speech at my wedding - he said there are a list of memorable dates in his life - his wedding day, the day my sister and I were born etc etc, then launched into a list of Arsenal classic memories, ending with the words " and the look on Tony Adams face when he put that 4th goal past Everton"........

Great choice! That's definitely top of my list too, the most amazing goalless draw I've ever seen and who can forget Mad Jens's save?northbankgooner wrote:As i am still young. It has to be one of these two:
