As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I stood for the whole game (black 7), they didn't tell me, or others, to sit down once, they usually tend to have spates of telling you to sit down last season, but that seems, thankfully, to have gone out of the window recently..
The stewards will try to ask supporters to sit down in blocks 5/6 but by the time they get half way* the back row will start up with one of the "Stand up" songs.
When the stewards are hot on this, as much as it can be tedious for others hearing it, the "Stand up" song ends up being song several times in a match.
Being in block 5 I’ve never realised how much this effects the other parts of the stadium.
I was pointing out the whole charade to my wife on her 1st visit to the grove and was sitting behind the goal. (block 8?)
As we were laughing at the Stewards attempts within seconds we were having to stand up!
It was then I realised how much of a knock on effect the song has. Especially in area's which don't stand as often it's can be quite tedious.
So to a degree the "Stand up" songs are caused by the Stewards.
*The stewards record in Block 5 from row '1' backwards is: Row 18!
Fair enough, but they could at least mix it up a bit. “Stand up for the Arsenalâ€
