very cunty thing to say.

I thought Fiorentina didn't pay it because we turned the offer down

I can understand why people dislike him. I just see those traits in so many footballers today but nobody mentions them when the player is considered 'world class' the hypocrisy genuinely fascinates me. That's the point I was trying to make.

guess you're right. it is actually down to football culture.

That's a good point BG. And the main reason why we ship more goals than many top teams in England. We play a far more open game and pay the penalty for it.

Not sure about Alves though

Radford says that on tuesday he dived again (when does he not?), passed to the oppo (something he shared with diaby) and lost the ball. if thats your evaluation of exceptional then what you call the performances of the other players who were clearly better (except diaby)

Radford will again say that the village idiot (and believe Radford the guy is one) is disliked because he is a shit/rubbish/a very poor player and his performances over the past two years or so have been shambolic. of course he loves playing for Arsenal who would'nt on £30,000 odd a week.

the guy IS A stain and needs to be removed NOW

True, Radford. But in the context of that game those mistakes were minimal. He posed a threat going forward and we kept a clean sheet I wouldn't expect anymore from a full back.

Obviously we aren't going to agree on this topic . . .

And, for what it's worth, I enjoy watching him every other week. Beats watching Pates, Selley, Hiller, Caeser, McGoldrick, Helder and god knows who else I grew up watching.

In my opinion it shows bollocks to come back and play the way he has. Admittedly he still dives and 'lives on the edge' but many players in Arsenal's history have done those things and the fans turn a blind eye (Pires diving, Bergkamp elbowing, Wright two footing) because they are 'world class'! The simple fact is Eboue is a decent footballer, like Diaby, like Bendtner, like Denilson but there is this trend in the modern game to label people 'shit' or 'world class' especially, it seems by our fans. If your deemed 'world class' you can get away with these traits because 'that's what makes them great' but if you're just a normal player you become a scapegoat!

The simple fact is when your building a side the way Wenger is you're not going to have 11 world class players. You need players Like Eboue as they are characters, they will player wherever they're asked without moaning and they will try. So you might not like him (he probably doesn't like you!) but he is an Arsenal player and should get have our support.

Eboue . . . take a bow son!
Excellent post, especially the part about people labelling players world class or shit...that happens all too often

Even in my sunday team, we turn up to play and someone will say, their number 10 is world class, or their defenders are complete shit...when in actual fact, they are both probably alright, but ones slightly better!
Gentlemen, let me ask you something. Well alright let me tell you something.

Would you qualify Lee Dixon as world class? I wouldn't. The man was competent, worked hard and was a lesser gog in the team. Much like Eboue is now. But he could defend. He had a basic awareness of where to be on the pitch and when to be there. I accept he had three better colleagues around him and a truely top class goalkeeper but by having the correct defensive attributes he will always be recalled highly by Arsenal fans as one of the better defensive players we've had. Eboue won't reach those highs as he lacks the most basic requirements for his position.
Im not sure you have understood what we are saying...Players are too easily labelled as Shit, just because they arent as good as other around them, Lee Dixon wasnt World class no, but neither was he shit...its the same situation with a lot of players!

Eboue did have an excellent game on tuesday both defensively and going forward whether Soppy old Radford likes it or not! Its the truth!

Fabregas spend about the last 10 games before tuesday making poor passes and delivering bad set pieces, how many times did Soppy old Radford come on here and call him shit?

Dixon was 'good' bordering great! Eboue.....as most have said is a 'decent' right back. Hence why AW replaced him.
