Eboue better than Theo ? Yes, at the moment he's some way ahead but this doesn't mean that Theo's a no-hoper. He'll prove himself, and if not it'll be his own fault as AW will give him the best chance.
Saying that, and in complete contradiction to what I've just put, I still think TW's a striker !! not a winger but I'm no Manager, I'm a supporter
I have to agree wholeheartedly with the eboue vs theo situation an god it pains me to do so! Yesterday eboue came on and drove us forward in a way that sagna simply failed to do. I am very worried at at exactly what seems to be afflicting our new players. They all seem to get second season-itis! Don't believe me, here is the list of new players who went straight into the first team who have gone downhill;
-Nasri
-Sagna
-Arshavin
-Denilson (though he never really got going anyway)
Thought Theo got into decent spaces yesterday and once even was last defender.
Eboue is more useful player at moment but Walcott retains potential to be devastating, it is up to him to fulfill that over next couple seasons, and it is up to the team to play him some decent passes cos right now the passing in the team is not penetrating opposition defences and we are reverting to the old "pass it round the edge of the penalty area" that we used to see three seasons ago.
In Theo's defence yesterday (not that I like the boy)... The Chelsea defence left no space round the back, which is the area that Theo wants the ball put to run onto and our attacks seemed to come straight down the middle.

What potential does a player who at 20 struggles to control a football have?
Sometimes he struggles to control ball other time she scores great goals. I agree he is not ready yet but i have nagging suspiscion that with an injury free run of games he could be devastating, just have to go on my "hunch", plus the occasional exampele of brilliance, at this stage.
Dont think Walcott has a chance of makin it.He has been around long enough to make an effort, even when things not goin well.Cowardly avoided getting to ball yesterday when ball was played towards him and Terry behind him.Terry seemed to make effort not to brush off Theo as he stepped forward, around Theo, to clear the ball.I think Theo is seen as harmless by opponents. No courage, commitment, aggression, awareness. No good.
I would have shipped out Almunia after Ronaldos CL freekick last year,I b thinkin the same about Theo after yesterday.
i'm not sure abbout eboue ahead of theo (although theo is shite at the moment) as they are different players and i dont believe eboue is a midfielder/wide man but i would be tempted to start eboue ahead of sagna at right back.
I think he might be in better form than sgana and there is no harm in competition for places. Maybe this might encourage sagna to try and improve on the weaker areas of his game i.e crossing and come back a better player?
I have lost all faith in Theo, i used to think it was his age and he would get better, unfortunatly it seems he takes one step forward and two back, Eboue actually tries, which i love to see, Theo runs into players too often. So i'd prefer Eboue.
what potential has wallcot got. cant beat a man, cant tackle, cant head a ball, first touch is woefull, no football brain, could,nt hit a barn door with a tracter . icould go on but i,ll stop. someone tell me about this potential

Eboue cannot defend. And that is surely what you expect a full back to do(yes Clichy i mean you!!!)
cant defend. helped get us to a champions league final conceding the least goals and helped hold out for nearly 80 minutes against barca with ten men until the clown fucked up. wenger tried to turn him into a midfielder thats the only reason he bought sagna. but as you say eboue cant defend
