Places for a weekend break.......

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Have to agree with my Oirish brethren; you can't beat Oireland for a weekend break. I wouldn't recommend Dublin though - it's great for a hectic boozy lads weekend - but if you want peace and quiet Westport is great - as is a little town called Enniscorthy in Wexford. Great pubs, lovely people and lovely scenery. There's a great pub called the Antique Tavern - great for sitting in a warm cozy boozer getting slowly drunk of an afternoon (especially if it's raining outside!). I've been there a few times and I love that pub.

Well, Enniscorthy was a major battle area in the 1798 rebellion. Vinegar Hill is a shrine to the Oirish murdered by your army...

But yes, they will welcome you with open arms!! A very forgiving and friendly lot us Micks! :barscarf: 8)

Really it's a lovely part of Ireland populated by the nicest people you could imagine. 8)
