Have to agree with my Oirish brethren; you can't beat Oireland for a weekend break. I wouldn't recommend Dublin though - it's great for a hectic boozy lads weekend - but if you want peace and quiet Westport is great - as is a little town called Enniscorthy in Wexford. Great pubs, lovely people and lovely scenery. There's a great pub called the Antique Tavern - great for sitting in a warm cozy boozer getting slowly drunk of an afternoon (especially if it's raining outside!). I've been there a few times and I love that pub.

But yes, they will welcome you with open arms!! A very forgiving and friendly lot us Micks!
Really it's a lovely part of Ireland populated by the nicest people you could imagine.

i wasn't considering a couple of days to ireland during my september trip, but you oirish members are beggining to change my mind, db10
