haha thats where the thought of Bill Oddie comes fromBT wrote:"B. Oddie - that's BillOddie. What's rude about a body anyway?"Swale_Gooner1985 wrote:Two mentions of Bill oddie on here in one day...brilliant! Three now!
"Tits"
'Susan this isnt a crank call, this is Bill Oddie'
and
'Bill Oddie gave me a dressing gown as a present, i submitted Oddies receipt for tax purposes, im guilty as hell Lyn'

Watched some of the juve v ac milan game last night and buffon played until half time (have sky + rest of it so dont know why he went off
). At that stage juve were 2 nil down against an aging team and it would be very easy to see why buffon might want to leave. Tbh chellini was the only juve player at that stage that stood out at all and they were toothless going forward
I am not saying for 1 minute that buffon is a realistic target for us this summer but if he was then really we should be moving to sign him (or any top player) straight away for 2 obvious reasons -
(1) Why wait for the price to rise again after a good world cup ?
(2) Now is the time to show cesc we mean business by making some ambitious signings showing him that we are going forward - on the flip side of that if we give juve a chance to bring in a top manager of their own and make a few important signings he might think that they are a club on the up. Obviously this theory can apply to any player
Dont know why I wrote all this but the transfer market is the one area where every summer I cling to the smallest thread of optimism that we will sign some quality players
