pato is very overrated. he's too lightweight, his finishing is far from great and he is not the hardworking type of striker. i wouldn't call pato if i were given the chance as well.1989 wrote:Why was Pato not included in the squad? Strange decision by Dunga.
but not including ronaldinho is absurd. we will depend on an off form kaka for the creative side of midfield, and the other option will be julio baptista.

Ronaldinho has been picked in the 30 man squad...?brazilianGOONER wrote:pato is very overrated. he's too lightweight, his finishing is far from great and he is not the hardworking type of striker. i wouldn't call pato if i were given the chance as well.1989 wrote:Why was Pato not included in the squad? Brazil will do better than Holland. They have arguably the best keeper in the world. Maicon, lucio, thiago silva and dani alves are all class. I grant you the midfield isnt the strongest, but it still has kaka, melo and baptista. Upfront nilmar and fabiano will be dangerous, and robinho can come on and cause problemsbrazilianGOONER wrote: look at brazil's midfield and attack and say that again:
gilberto silva - old, not the same
felipe melo - shit, beats even his mom but can't pass a ball
kaka - terribly off form and spent most of the season injured
elano - simply shit
robinho - tricks and dribles and nothing else
luis fabiano - below the average quality of brazilian world cup strikers (like romario, ronaldo, careca, bebeto)
and brazil's second choice midfield and attack is:
kleberson - manure reject, is utter shit
josué - wolfsburg's DM, shit
ramires - average player, now in benfica
julio baptista -dunga said on national television that if kaka isn't well julio will be responsible for the creativity in brazil's midfield, he'll carry the team

i swear, i saw it live

grafite - striker from wolfsburg, played 20 minutes for brazil in his career
nilmar - a slightly better robinho
how is that quality all over????? oh, and brazil's two leftbacks are michel bastos (who play as RIGHT MIDFIELDER in france) and gilberto (who plays as left winger in brazil).
my bets are on holland or spain.
One of the main things though, is that Dunga has moulded the team in the way he wants, and i think the work ethic he has instilled in them will see them go very far in the tournament, even if the names maybe arent as "impressive" as we are used to seeing from Brazil squads
The fact is, any side that can leave out Marcelo, David Luiz, Filipe Luis, Alex, Diego, Thiago Motto, Lucas (he is a bit shite right enough, but still), Ronaldinho, Pato and Hulk must be pretty good

thiago silva was not picked. but i do agree with you on the highlighted part, he managed to put up a good squad made of average players.safcftm wrote: Brazil will do better than Holland. but to put your trust in julio baptista... mate, that's the end of the world...
edit: thiago silva was picked. he probably won't start though, juan is first choice.

Brazils squad must be awesome if it can afford to omit Denilson though!brazilianGOONER wrote:look at brazil's midfield and attack and say that again:safcftm wrote: You look at sides like Argentina, Brazil and Spain and they have class right through the side.

Thought the exact same as I saw this. Its Up 4 Grabs Now wrote:So a cunt called Lasagna Diarrhea is out with "intestinal pain"?Vince wrote:L.Diarra is out of the world cup squad!
He's got intestinal pain, and he need some time to recover. I'm not sur if he'll be replaced. Gallas seems fine and we are now 23.Maybe the Totts will buy him after all!

Second thought was that this could be Diaby's big chance!
