As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I Hate Hleb wrote:Shit. Hardly created anything that half. What's George playing at with this 3 centre-halves bollocks? For fecks sake, we need to score at least 2 goals!!! That's was difficult enough when we had 90 minutes so how the hell are we going to manage it in 45?!! :banghead:

Fecking George Graham!! How's he not started with Perry Groves? Boring arsehole!! Our best chance to win a title for the first time in 18 years and the guy puts out a defensive side!! I wish the useless Scottish c**t would feck off back to Millwall where he belongs!!!

Take my word for it. Being a few years older is overrated....

Best that you just enjoy watching '89 on DVD and get over being too young not to have seen it live....
Seeing it on DVD is just as awesome - I have watched the entire match many times now and the feelings never change - the surpise of Smudger's goal, the amxiety awaiting its being officially awarded, the sheer tension and even despair as it becomes obvious we going to fall a goal short and well, I don't even know how to describe what happens then - If I ever get married or have a first child I'm guessing that's how it might feel.....

It'll surpass that.... and (being a father of 3 children who I love dearly and was at all their births) the win in 1989 v the Bindippers is an experience that I'll never get again... :? :?

'89 feels like falling in love and realizing that something special just happened.
The intervening period is like married life - full of incredible highs, lows and teething children.
Now, you just stay together because you don't know anything else and you're afraid of change or what change might bring.

Frank - 3? Is bG one of them?

Fever Pitch is an excellent example of football and how much it matters to people. My girlfriend who never knew anyone who liked football before she met me understands more as a result of watching Fever Pitch and Anfield 89!
