Why was the flotilla thread locked?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Can I make a recommendation in terms of equal opportunaties and divercity?

Can any new mods be non-Irish?
Definately, have that box already ticked!

I like Quartz's idea of an Rule's and Ettique sticky. 8)

Also thought maybe it's time for some new mods. A rest is good as a change!
Before anyone asks I'm not asking, hinting or would even personally consider doing the role!

But it seems to me out of the 10 mods we only see around 3/4 regulars and others are rarely here.
Gooner.ed and MF would still need to be Mods obviously.
But maybe some 'New blood' would help the forum and ease the work off the regulars.

Thoughts :?:

Maybe we can find mods with great spirit and real hunger?

They can have great potential for the future too.

Most importantly, they'd have to be cheap.

Having stewed on this for a couple of days, I think the flotilla thread (like the boats  V4V) had some distance to go before its premature demise could be justified.

The flotilladiscussion itself was circular but there were enough tangents leading off it to keep it alive.

Yes DanielD, I have seen the photos and others not published. I have read both accounts of the photographs and the additional video footage. If they open up the thread we can discuss it. Until then we have the tits and arses.

Long live Nero.

Developments indeed.

Turkish press printed the photos from in the ship of the soldiers held by the Turkish IHH thugs, but the day after Reuters issued the photos but deleted the knives from the hands of the Turks in the photos.

I have not seen those photos Quartz. How do you know Reuters have done this?

Have you seen the unpublished ones of the Turkish medics tending to the Israeli wounded? Let's wait and hope the thread opens up. Hopefully it will. I suppose out of respect for the forum we should await it rather than start it here. If you want to pm me from here on in. Unless you have a jpeg of a good pair of tits or a cameltoe (although that may have Arab overtones) :? .

Just for the record....it wasn't me.

I only came on yesterday to sort out the Mrgnu incident. I even only knew about that because I got a text message.

For what it is worth, I don't see the point of going down a road that has caused so much friction in the past. Having said that, if people want to bore themselves with unwinnable arguments, that's their business.

So far I've denied it (and you guys know I always take responsibility for deleting threads); DB10 has denied it (and to be fair, he also admits it); Rebel denies it (but he's from Cork and Lord only knows how much you can trust those guys   ); and now even the bookies favourite Spuddy has denied it   (but remember he used to be a copper so is used to telling porkies!!   ).

So the question is: who actually done it? :? :? :hmmthink: :hmmthink: :rubchin: :rubchin: :banghead: :banghead:
