Arsenal Till I Die wrote:LOL so much for all you ''Kos is shit'' boo boys.

I knew Kos was at least half decent by his performance against AC Milan in the Emirates Cup, he looked strong then and did today.

Exter cred for the man after we all thought he broke his leg. :barscarf: :barscarf:

True beast.
I don't see how that makes him a "beast". If he didn't break his leg, he didn't break his leg. :?

As I said elsewhere, he will be good against the slim and quick strikers but am not sure about the big physical ones like Drogba.

He did ok but please remember he was up against Ngog for most of the game and even I'd fancy my chances......

Either way, we still need another class centre half but know full well we won't get one.

Yeh I think its a bit harsh to put him down, it was harsh before and it's harsh now. He looked bloody good in the air for someone who's not particularly tall.

A lot of people would've shrunk out of the game after that tackle, but he came straight back out and looked strong still.

Yeah he got sent off at the end, but to be honest although it may sound stupid it'd be nice to see a few arsenal players getting sent off. I don't mean for dirty Joe Cole tackles, but we've definitely lost that mean streak and it'd be good to get back to the days with Vieira and Petit where people knew for sure we wouldn't be walked over by anyone.

he had a better debut than chamakh, unlucky to see red at the end. set pieces will give me a heart attack at 23 :banghead:

Slightly off topic but in line with what you said Worthing I thought it was great to see Wilshere getting stuck in and not letting Gerrard or Mascharano bully him.

He had a decent game. Arsene said so.

Anyway why pick on the new boy when most of the old hands were up to their old tricks?

Yes he had a decent game but he wont be playing against a striker like Ngog every week. Will reserve judgement till he passes the Drogba test,Still need to buy a CB

Both sides off the ball they are poor. When we have a corner the taker can never get it past the first man. When we are defending Almunia or Fabianki needs to take command of the area that what it boils down to. If there is an attcker standing beside you push the *word censored* or come through him when coming to catch the ball he will think twice about it the next time.

I said to my pal straight after the game, that people will remember that last sprint against Torres and say he had a very good/great game!! While I'll agree that he was one of the better performers - which isn't saying that much - am I the only one that saw the same old weaknesses whenever the ball was crossed into our Penalty area? Even Ngog got a free header from around the six yard box, because our new defender was on the wrong side of him.

And when oh when are we going to stop allowing oppositions to out-number us at the far post from set-pieces? This even happened when Liverpool were down to 10 men and only had 3 or 4 men in our area!! It's coming up to 3 years that I've been complaining about this thing yet, again, there appears to have been no work done on something which is one of the fundamentals of good defence. :banghead: :banghead:

Yes, Kos was decent today and very unlucky - nay disgracefully - sent off. Although I really hope in time he will be a great signing for us, let's not get carried away just yet!! We desperately need another experienced defender - someone that doesn't need to do their learning 'on the job', like some sort of apprentice and far too many of our team already. Especially if we are serious about winning trophies.

Was ridiculous for him to be written off before playing 1 competitive game for us. But likewise let’s not get ahead of ourselves & turn 1 good game into meaning he’s the bog’s dollocks. He looked good but he’ll have tougher tests & even if he turns out to be Bobby Moore, Baresi & TA6 combined we still need another quality CB to compete.

just a point re his torres moment....torres aint fit....so you cant jude kos on that as the striker wasnt up to speed.

im not saying hes rubbish or brilliant, i think he will be decent, but stop using the torres moment as an example of his talent
