Schwarzer joining tomorrow?

In the Australian news today, I've seen that Mark Schwarzer left the Australian camp immediately after the mid-week friendly against Slovenia. He left well before the rest of the team on the first available flight to London after the match finished.

Also, from Mark Bosnich:
Bozza says: "At 38 years of age, with very few years left, I do not think Arsenal will be signing Schwarzer to sit him on the bench. Although he had a disappointing World Cup, he still is better than what Arsenal have and I believe if they do sign him, they will have as good a chance as any to win a trophy this season."

Problem solved - a 38 year old who has just suffered a more error strewn season than ever previously and backed it up with being just about the worst keeper on display at the World Cup (Fatty Green apart)

Still why wait for Given or Hart's inevitable fall-out of favour from Man City when you can have Australia's number 1 as your main man.

No better than Almunia so another signing that fails to improve the first team. However, if it pushes the other clown one step nearer to the circus tent then it carries some merit....

I'm not sure how you've come to these conclusions.

1. He had a great season for Fulham, and has been excellent for them since he moved there.

2. WC form means absolutley nothing. Would you not sign Rooney?

3. Was Given or Hart ever going to sign? City simply do not need to sell a player, they can tell them where to go. Plus it would only be a loan so we could have him for less than 6 months and then what?

4. He is better than Almunia. Almunia is a good shot stopper but his comanding of an area is poor, I believe Schwarzer is better than him in this area.

5. If Scezney is as good as they all believe, then it gives him a chance to develop and also train with a decent goalkeeper who can help him out.

6. I believe this will be the end of Fabianski

i think schwarzer is better than what we have and gives us a chance especially if we get a new centre half. wenger is once again sitting on his hands i mean the season starts tomorrow and he is sort of saying dont expect to see cesc or rvp anytime soon. schwarzer coming wont mean the end to flappyhandski unfortunately but it will mean the end to average al.

He is deffo better than Coco or Flappy IMHO. But then all 5'4" of brazillianGOONER would better in goal - when he is drunk!!

If Fabianski plays in goal this season every team will simply load the ball onto him at every opportunity and foul the shit out of him at corners. The ref's will let teams get away with it and it will cost us points.

Schwarzer is 6ft 5 and a monster with crosses into the box. He's exactly what we need.

would rather sell schwarzer to the devil wouldnt he. i am presuming this situation will only change if one of hart/given doesnt play and forces a move. what i do know is we are stuck with either fabianski or almunia. i bet to spite us wenger will move almunia on and give us flappy as number 1.

fabianski will play on sunday i am convinced of it and almunia will continue to be given the cold shoulder treatment.

i do think this is the straw that broke the camels back as far as wenger is concerned..he is taking a massive gamble with our future with his response or lack of it to two key positions goalkeeper and centre half. we are as usual 3 players short of being able to compete.

for an intelligent man he is incredibly stupid. is there anyone who can stand up for wenger if this continues?

Risky from Fulham. For a 37 year old to be offered the chance to play CL football and play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe, and for them to block it. Well can't say he'll be happy.

Hopefully we've got something else in the pipe line.

PLEASE SIGN A FUCKING GOALKEEPER
